There is a barclaycard one at the moment. It offers 0.5% on all purchases and a 1% cashback on supermarket/petrol expenditure. There is however a £15 limit on the amount of cash back received per month.
Here is the link below.

Hi never properly used a cashback card for regular purchases. Me and hubby both got egg money cards in november and did BTs from other 0% cards as we needed the cash for something, and then both got some cashback in feb (i got £20 for a £2k BT).
Silly question i know, but what is the best way to maximise cashback usage to get as much as possible next year? Is it a case of putting money in (and back out?) of the account, i.e do transfers from non-egg bank accounts? Or just make all purchases on egg money and set up a DD to pay in fulll each month.
many thanks for any replies.0 -
Been turned down for Amex cashback card
Disappointed, but maybe again it's because I always pay on time and have no loans outstanding. Should I wait a while before trying for different card, or could there be a problem I don't know about?

Only if you missed the unprecedented global credit crunch going on :-)
Seriously though you could get all 3 credit reports.
Will cost about £4.
If there arn't any mistakes then it will either be tight criteria due to the credit crunch or you don't fit their "target profile".
We never know what the "target profile" is, but in some cases it's possible they want people who pay interest and not people will good credit ratings that never pay any interest (but that's speculation).0 -

I'm not 100% sure on transfer but I would have thought that cashback is on purchases only.
Basically put all spending on it.
e.g. all business expenses etc.
If you go out for a meal with a group then offer to use your card to pay etc.
You could get Amex which is 5% ffor 3 months with £33.75 from quidco but it's not universally accepted.
If you have to pay for a big holiday then it's worth trying to time the 3 months for that.0 -
So lets get this right-existing cashback customers are still getting their 1%? thanks
"Thank you for contacting us about the cashback on your account. I can confirm that your account is accruing 1% cash back each time you use your Capital One card for purchases. Whatever you spend will be refunded back to your account on a monthly basis. The cumulative of these refunds will be credited to your account every January."
They went on to confirm that no new Cashback products are currently on offer.
I also have Morgan Stanley (Goldfish - Barclays whatever). That still pays 1% for the first £2000 purchases following your cashback anniversary date, dropping back to 0.5% thereafter. Again, no mention anywhere on the homepages (non-customer) area about cashback cards, so it's looking as though Amex & Egg money will still be the only ones offering new cashback deals.
MoneySavingExpert's own article is already out of date!0 -
What would the best card be for a £12,500 purchase at the moment? I am looking to make this purchase, but not pay it off straight away, is there a way that I can use the cashback credit card and then transfer to a 0% on balance transfers card.
Thanks

Amex is by far the best bet for cashback at the moment although you'd need to check that the organisation accepts it.
The cashback is 5% for 3 months but it will max out at £200.
You can also get £33.75 from quidco in cashback.
They have reasonable limits (I got £10K).
Even if you don't get £12.5K then you can probably put it in credit temporarily.
Biggest thing to check is whether this card is accepted by whoever you are paying.0 -

Certainly - if you can get the cards and get them in time. BT's aren't instantaneous and you can soon lose the benefit if you have an interest payment or two before it happens. However hard up you are, never accept loans from your friends. Just gifts0
