That's because your observation skills are as poor as your commercial skills.
Thank you for pointing this out to me

Do you offer customers a discount for cash in your store
Jus look at high street stores (boots, superdugs etc.) they all have this notice. Also you now need some new glasses as you dont seem to be able to read

You are aware that any company that takes CC have to increase their prices to cover the 2 to 3% processing fee, so even if you pay by cash you are also paying the extra on the goods.

I don't doubt what you say is correct.

I typed "I dont see them on Supermarket doors and I had to hunt to find them on 2 local Aldis"

I don't consider Boots a Supermarket and your response brings another point, not only do boots accept most Credit and Debit Cards they want me to be a loyal customer and want me to join a Loyalty scheme and issue me with a card. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I have no experience of shopping at Superdrug and I dont know where my nearest store is. Do they accept Credit Cards.

Is Superdrug a similar supermarket to Aldi ?

Would you answer my question which you might not have seen ?

Do you offer customers a discount for cash in your store if they ask.

Wow if this it true i strongly advise Aldi staff to find work at another supermarket !
Aldi store assistants are paid between £7.70 to £9.20.per hour.

I have never known Aldi operating the price memory system. The only company I recall doing that were Kwik Save and look what happened to them !

    I wish I could get paid £7.70/hour :D

Go to your Local Aldi store they display a list of vacancies.

What they don't dsplay is an accurate description of Credit cards and debit Cards they accept.

While you are there if you want to buy anything dont try to use a Credit Card unless the Aldi store is in Scotland , parts of South Wales (even calling Aldi at Swindon they don't know which ones of their South Wales stores accept Credit Cards ), or Berwick Upon Tweed.

Haven't you said this about 100 times now?

well £7.70 is a good wage for retail workers as most are only on Nat. Min. Wage
    https://www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates
The National Minimum Wage rate per hour depends on your age and whether you’re an apprentice - you must be at least school leaving age to get it.

    Apprentice* £2.68
    Under 18 £3.72
    18 to 20 £5.03
    21 and over £6.31

*This rate is for apprentices under 19 or those in their first year. If you’re 19 or over and past your first year you get the rate that applies to your age.

The Living Wage just released is £7.65 per hour.

I'm surprised that no one has suggested that Aldi are paying their store staff too much at £7.70 per hour.
  • The reason they do it is a debit card costs them around 20p to process payment whereas a credit card will typically cost them between 2 and 3 percent of the transactions value. On a hundred pound shop this would be a £2.80 difference.

    Exactly.

Is anyone daft enough to think the likes of the big four supermarkets don't load the merchant fees onto the prices of the goods they sell? Not incurring merchant fees surely allows Aldi to keep their prices lower.

If they increased their prices by 3% to cover merchant fees but you then get 1% cashback for paying with a cashback credit does that really make you better off?

But not all Credit Cards offer a cashback credit and as i stated earlier if they have to increase their prices by 3% then no matter what payment method you use, you end up paying the extra 3%
