You are not trying to maximise your profits ?
Why not stop accepting debit cards and credit cards and pass on the saving to your customers ?
I have even use psychology to sell items. i once had fishing nets i was selling at 60p and they were very slow to sell, so i upped the price to a £1 and placed them as Buy One Get One Free and they all sold very quickly.0 -

Also Just ask your friend Mary Portas and you will know the high street is in decline due to the fact you can get everything in supermarkets now. Also Argos prices are set so they can run the 3 for 2 offers, so they are covering the 3rd item, so a consumer is not getting a free item like they think they are.
We price our goods at the best price we can sell them for. especially product in which we are the only supplier in the world.0 -

At shows i sell inflatable hammers etc. I get these direct at average £2.50 a dozen rather than from a wholesaler. these sell at £1 all day long, but like the Great Yorkshire Show other traders sell these from £2.50, but i still sell mine at £1 and i can sell 500+ a day which is all profit after the 1st Day0 -
After reading through this (having added a couple of posts way earlier), I'm wondering what a troll is? I personally didn't see the OPs original post as a troll post. Perhaps because I too found it strange they don't accept credit cards. I personally prefer to contact the consumer services teams of companies, that way they can deal with the specific concern but also make sure of good practice across all stores.
I do think the OP and others have got a bit het up over this whole thing. I do wonder if the OP wanted to use his credit card as it was his only means of paying at that time. (I know the MSE experts will shudder at that thought but some people seem to operate like that).Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -

Minimum profit on any of our items is £10 and we sell worldwide
By the way the Open Cart looks super thank you for your advice.
My current hosting in Manchester doesn't seem up to snuff but we don't have a website yet only domain and hosting..
I wonder what my customers would think if i put up a notice saying we only accept Credit Cards in Scotland parts of South Wales and Berwick Upon Tweed ?0 -

I think Aldi sell Kellogs cornflakes as well as other brands of cornflakes.
You can buy 2 packets of them with a credit card if you visit an Aldi store in Scotland parts of South Wales and Berwick Upon Tweed.0 -

Yes i use Opencart, they also have a great community forum.
Your Host may be in Manchester, but where are the actual servers. I have tried many servers from UK datacenters and everytime their were issues that effected my clients, so all my servers are based in the USA, even though i am UK based.0
