The do have a business model of not accepting CC in ENGLAND so they can keep cost down.
staying NO frills, so they dont have all the fancy shelves etc., run on min. staff levels, so keeping overheads down, which reflects in lower prices for customers. Great Business Model

Aldi have standard supermarket shelves but be careful of them moving pallets of food and produce logs and sticks and welding rods about when you are in their store.

Also Note ... do their staff who use the pallet truck wear protective footwear when using the pallet trucks Health and Safety of staff

    ;)

Thank you for pointing this out to us, so just imagine what they could achieve if they used some initiative.

If managed correctly Aldi have a very large market to gain from.

Under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (1998) (PUWER) then all employees using the pallet trucks need to have been trained in their use and the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations (1992) require the employer to supply the safety equipment required, and training in its use.

Don't know, does the risk assessment stipulate them?

And why are you posting the same post twice?

Can't believe this is still going :T :rotfl:

Seriously if it were managed by you it would be running at a loss within 2 years.

You're one of these people who thinks they know everything but it's obvious you haven't got a clue!

Their Business model is working well for them, so they don't need to change it. If they don't want to take Credit cards then that is up to them. Just like if they suddenly say handling Cash is a nightmare, so we will just accept Debit Cards, this would be up to them and no one else.

I have complained to Aldi today requesting from Aldi that they allow credit cards in all Aldi stores in England or remove credit card use in ALDI Berwick upon Tweed to be in line with the other Aldi stores in England.
Can i ask what planet you are on?

I understand your frustration. We had our card declined, which when it's the Santander 123 card offering 1% we weren't best impressed.

However we left it at that. We wouldn't even dream of trying to inconvenience users of another store just because our store didn't accept the card. What does that achieve?

I disagree Aldi and their corporate logistic team should have a dynamic approach to their business.

They should monitor and tweak and quickly change (dynamically) their business as often as soon and as quickly as necessary.

Adaptability is the key for success

I can recommend these to you in your high street shop your online business and your County show stalls. You could increase the sales of children toys starting at 50p and toy prams for dolls as well as the rest of your stock inventory for sale.

I think for a global company Like Aldi 3% is far too high and very negotiable.

Will the cost of accepting Credit Cards be the same for Scotland parts of South Wales and Berwick Upon Tweed ? Surely if the prices of goods in Scotland parts of South Wales and Berwick Upon Tweed are the same as the price of the other areas then why not negotiate the same deal as Scotland parts of South Wales and Berwick Upon Tweed regions ? It makes good business sense to do this Aldi.

Are prices the same across all Aldi stores, they arent across most supermarket cahins
