but why just say they dont accept CC, their are a load more payment methods they dont accept that consumers use, so yes a 30 x 30 ft sign would be required to list all know payment methods. Also dont forget they also dont accept Euro, Dollars etc, so another sign for currencies they dont accept.

I am glad you typed this you are a genius.

Why dont Aldi display a sign saying they dont accept Credit Cards ?

You know something they dont !
  • I can remember when John Lewis didn't accept CCs, only their own charge card. They eventually embraced them rather than lose the sales.

But totally irrelevant to your whinge as they operate in totally different market sectors and Aldi don't appear to be losing custom due to not taking credit cards.

I am glad you have posted this.

The John Lewis Group are in a the Supermarket market sector with Waitrose as are Aldi. I hope that Aldi are striving to improve their market share and margins. On current evidence i don't think so. They appear to be badly managed and organised.

I think the Waitrose Business model would be an excellent one for Aldi to copy and adopt.

If Aldi adopted a Universal uniform business and supply chain model they would be able to to close the 7 regional management teams saving money they could pass on to their customers.

John Lewis is a department store which is a different sector to a supermarket.

Do you think Aldi are the only supermarket that use regional management.

ALL supermarkets have regional management sectors, just that Aldi have decided in England they wont accepts Credit cards as a payment method. They have the right to do this and no one is going to change their mind on this.

    Is Waitrose a supermarket ?

Aldi do accept credit cards as payment in Scotland Parts of South Wales and Berwick Upon Tweed.

It is not a global policy not to accept credit cards in England.
Based on the information for Aldi its a region by region choice.

One region accepts credit cards in some of their regional stores and not in others.

The message to customers about Credit cards and Debit Cards in Aldi stores is not clear and out of date.

The message to customers about Credit cards and Debit Cards on the Aldi website is unclear and out of date.

The message to customers about Credit cards and Debit Cards is unknown by the Aldi Customer service Manager, the Aldi Corporate Logistics team 1 Area manager and 2 store managers and an assistant store manager. They all agreed it is unclear and out of date

Aldi do not pay any attention to detail. I hope this is not the case when it comes to the health and Safety of Customers and Staff.

Aldi dont know the value of their customers.
Aldi do not value their customers

Aldi don't know the price of using Credit cards in their stores in England except for their stores in Scotland parts of South Wales and Berwick Upon Tweed.

You really do need a hobby. Crochet (or even croquet) was not your thing, so how about brass rubbing?
