The Living Wage just released is £7.65 per hour.
But you don't understand the Living Wage means nothing as its not a legal requirement like the National Minimum Wage.
The Living Wage is a Voluntary Scheme run by the Living Wage Foundation An initiative of Citizens UK which has no affilation with the Government.
Employers have to sign up to the scheme, but nothing to say an Employer has too.

Yes I am aware that. What I mean is they don't have 3 or 4 head offices around the country all doing the same thing unlike Aldi.0 -

Is anyone daft enough to think the likes of the big four supermarkets don't load the merchant fees onto the prices of the goods they sell? Not incurring merchant fees surely allows Aldi to keep their prices lower.
If they increased their prices by 3% to cover merchant fees but you then get 1% cashback for paying with a cashback credit does that really make you better off?
Aldi do pay merchant fees for their customers who use Credit Cards in Scotland , parts of South Wales , and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England0 -

Aldi have 7 Regional Offices.
I was told there is a director at the Swindon branch so I must assume the other 6 branches have a director too.0 -

You are too generous,,,,,,,,,,,,,which is more than can be said about Aldi with their geographical bias on accepting Credit Cards0 -

So, they dont accept credit cards, its not the end of the world is it. Im quite comfortable with the stores only accepting cash and debit cards and so are other customers who are in the queue in front of or behind me.0 -

You point out something interesting, well organised supermarkets now have queue busting teams to take to the till when they get busy.
I was in an Aldi yesterday (Bulwell Nottingham) enquiring about my £30 gift voucher and noticed the queues getting longer and longer. At least 6 in each of the 4 active tills0 -

It is more embarrassing to get a Credit card rejected in and Aldi when the queues of people watching you and waiting to be served are so long and then to discover there is inaccurate information about what cards they accept and also to discover no signs anywhere saying they don't accept Credit Cards!.0
