Yes, but why should i pay a charity just so they can tell me i MUST pay employees a Min. £7.65 an hour. Personally this is just a SCAM

I will pay my employees what i think is a suitable wage as long its complies with the LAW and that it is at least the Minimum Wage.

    Pay peanuts get monkeys.

i have never stated how much i pay my employees and i wont , but why should i pay another business a fee just so they can demand you pay £7.65 an hour. To me the only people to benefit will be the company taking all these fees as you have to be paying employees at least £7.65 before applying to them, so no benefit in paying them a fee.

You point out something interesting, well organised supermarkets now have queue busting teams to take to the till when they get busy.

Thats because the bigger supermarkets absorb the cost of the queue busting team whereas if it happened in Aldi the stores profit would be hit as an extra member of staff to queue bust.

I was in an Aldi yesterday (Bulwell Nottingham) enquiring about my £30 gift voucher and noticed the queues getting longer and longer. At least 6 in each of the 4 active tills

Thats how it is in Aldi/Lidl, when the queue of waiting customers is so long another checkout is opened up but if there were no more staff to open 1 up then nothing the staff can do. I find the queue disappears pretty quick adn am quite happy to wait a few minutes.

See, Aldi are successful and don't need to change their business model. There is such a thing as being "a victim of your own success" and you have highlighted that they had unforcasted customer demand, yet people were so happy with the service, price and selection available to them that they were happy to wait.

You've mentioned enough that there are other companies available. These customers could have gone to any of the supermarkets, yet instead they stayed in Aldi...

    I don't think so.
Aldi have an expensive underused regional management structure and out of date policies which mean they cannot act dynamically

They have proved this by not acting dynamically regarding customer service.

Currently Aldi's only goal appear to be to compete with Lidl,

Why does the OP think Aldi MUST run their business like the big 5 supermarkets?

Aldi have their own way of running their business which their accounts shows is working 100% for them.

That's because Aldi and Lidl are NO FRILLS DISCOUNT Supermarkets and have never stated they compete with the big 5 Supermarkets

35 pages and 690 posts and still the OP can't understand Aldi has decided how they are running their own business and that includes NOT accepting CC in England

I disagree Aldi is an international Global supermarket chain.

They want to improve their performance and become the top of 6 big supermarkets.

Aldi do not describe themselves as a no Frills supermarket.

Aldi Should strive to be the top of the big 6 supermarkets

They are an International Global company that just happens to have a UK operation that has some success despite its attention to detail and out of date policies and poor customer service.
