Of course they can, but that would be extremely poor customer service in my view if it's the result of a polite request.
The staff memeber in question should AT LEAST establish if the customer has any special needs that require help when they get a request and not just chuck someone out of the store at the first polite request for help.
I expect chucking someone out because they asked for something politely might get the store bad publicity if it's done in front of other customer.s
I think you'rr on dodgy ground here and seriously overreacting.
Fortunately in real life most staff do not overreact like that and listen to the request and the needs of the cutsomer first.
Do you chuck out blind and disabled people because they are "trouble"?
If you read i was saying it could happen, it would take store manager intervention to have someone chucked out0 -
why do a Prices or geographic location determine acceptance of a credit card. By Aldi ?
Due to the fact that the store is geographically managed by a head quarters in that country. So they have an english head quarters and a scottish head quarters and they each have there own rules and regulations.
Look further:
Aldi Australia accepts MasterCard and Visa for a 0.5% surcharge.
Aldi accepts Discover Card at some locations in the USA.
Aldi accepts benefit transfer cards at some locations in the USA.0 -
From the Aldi website :
"Aldi stores accept cash, Maestro, Delta, Solo and Electron card only. Visa and Master Card credit cards are accepted in Scottish and selected Welsh stores only. In line with many other retailers we no longer accept cheques in store.
OP, which website are you looking on?0 -

This annoys me too.
Butter is still 98p in the Scottish stores, which is good enough evidence for me that the rest of the product range is the same.
I'm more annoyed that Aldi won't explain why. Why don't we all bombard them on Twitter with the question?0 -

Because we're not interested ?0 -
According to Aldi signs and their website,,,,
Aldi do no accept Debit Cards with Visa or Mastercard symbols alone.
Do you shop at Aldi with a debit card that has a single VISA or Mastercard badge on its front and reverse sides ? If you have how did you know Aldi would accept them please ??
Does that help

96p if you use a cash back credit card.
So the UK gets stung again. Higher prices and STILL can't use a credit card.
I'm moving to Berwick upon Tweed.
(BTW, is this trending yet?)0
