I expect the same benefits and opportunities at every Aldi store I visit in the UK.
Whatever you do, do not start comparing the cost of a litre of petrol in different areas of the UK, I fear you'd explode in a bizzare Daily Mail esque fit of outrage at the geographical differences in priceI have never known Aldi operating the price memory system. The only company I recall doing that were Kwik Save and look what happened to them !
Yes that's how they used to do it in all Aldi stores [although I've never knowingly visited the Berwick one to verify it was universal]Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
Aldi please display the rules in your stores
Have you put your request to Aldi?
You're probably not goin g to get too far posting it on here.0 -

Wow if this it true i strongly advise Aldi staff to find work at another supermarket !
Discliplined for slowness ?
Is this true ? a chip shop selling dog food ?
Do Aldi not sell (or better donate) food that could have been fed to the dog ?
The more professionally customer focused supermarkets observe till queues and have more active tills. They realise they have to be more customers focused and some provide self service tills for customers.
It's considered quite rude to imply someone is lying
Is it true that speed is a performance related criteria for Aldis staff. Several staff have told me it is. I have no reason to doubt them (If you work presumably YOU have certain performance criteria expected and would be disciplined for failing to achieve expectation). They tell me it's a disciplinary offence-unlike yourself my first reaction wouldn't be to accuse them of lying. I have targets at work -why wouldn't they ?
Where did I say a chip shop sold dog food? (They bought the dog cooked warm sausages- you may recall it was snowing and the dog had been outside over two hours at that point) As customers had already fed the dog why would you be expecting any supermarket to feed an animal too ???
Not sure which supermnarket s you are referring to....the ones with self service tills, the ones with supervisors with the kind of attitude I mentioned before (we call them the Queens of Sighs). I work in a customer service focussed role -I find them unprofessional in the extreme but possibly your standards are lower than mine.
You don't like Aldi - Don't shop there ...not really sure what you are complaining about. I don't like certain aspects of the "Big Four" so I rarely shop there ..... we have the choice after all.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

why should I use self-service ?
to avoid the nonsense you mention in your earlier post belowThe Tesco supermarket near me allows me to purchase a packet of crisps costing 50p with a credit card, but the smaller Tesco shop just out of town has a minimum order value for cards. Maybe I should write to Tesco HQ and demand they have a minimum order value in all of their shops and stop discriminating against people who wish to charge 50p to their credit cards.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Oh dear....
I said "To buy the dog food" I did not say "To buy dogfood"
Only an idiot would think a chipshop sold Pedigree Chum :rotfl: (leastways none here do-naturally I can't comment on any in Berwick on Tweed)

Aldi store assistants are paid between £7.70 to £9.20.per hour.

They did, at the very beginning. When Aldi opened their store in my home town around 18 years ago, staff punched codes in and it was done from memory.0 -

Some chip shops in my home town do sell dog food and some sell cat food as well.0
