I think you misunderstand "China Town"
They don't class themselves as China.
It's usually just a collection of Chinese restaurants and shops.
I have been in many and they run them as chinese communities following chinese cultures, just like BoT run the town as a Scottish Community, with anything on the north side of the River Tweed following Scottish policies0 -
Aldi in Berwick-upon-Tweed and the entire town are in England, in the county of Northumberland.0

It is like Quebec is in the country of Canada, but is classes as French Quebec as they have french as their first language and even run the town as a french town flying the french flag and using french policies, but Quebec is 3275.78 miles from France.0 -
It may have already been said as too many pages to look back on but don't they realise that Berwick Upon Tweed is literally on the Scottish Border, in fact from my experience the Aldi store is on the Scottish side so therefore in Scotland, I know a few years ago there was a huge council tax argument as the people were paying different rates depending on what side of the border they were on.
It is not literally on the Scottish Border.0 -

No mention of Berwick upon Tweed
Aldi cannot get the adverts accurate and up to date. no mention of Berwick Upon Tweed in England.

That makes them wrong, then. The border is not the River Tweed at that point.0 -

Yes I imagine they do but what does it mean ? what is the message ? a Mastercard sign without an explanation ?0 -

The River Tweed was the original border before Scotland claimed Berwick, then the English took it back 500 years ago and the border was moved to where it was now. so those on the north bank still claim to be Scottish and follow Scottish policies.0
