If your so concerned about H&S contact the HSE with your evidence which I'm assuming you don't actually have

Bzzzt! Incorrect advice! If it's a shop then it's actually the local environmental health department.

    Just broke, even.

Doesn't matter if the advice is incorrect or not theres still no evidence otherwise this person wouldn't keep posting on here about it

Just because Aldi or ANY retailer decides to do something in one of its stores even if they are trialling something then it is NOT geographical bias it is THEIR business DECISION.

an example of trialling is when Cadbury introduced their new Dairy Milk Mint Bubbly, they initially introduced this in the NE of ENGLAND and then in WALES before it was made available country wide. was this geographical bias or was it THEIR business DECISION to test the product before going into full production.

In my conversations with Aldi Customer Service Manager, Two Officials from Aldi Corporate Logistics, One Assistant Store Manager, Two Store Managers and an Area Store Manager I have used my term of Geographical Bias. The majority of them had no accurate information on what Cards Aldi accept or where they accept them. I would say i am more familiar with some of their Aldi systems than the people previously mentioned.
Did I mention that the £30 Aldi Gift Voucher that Aldi don't do had arrived and yesterday it was used at the tills which are not set up to deal with the Aldi Vouchers that Aldi do not do? in case I forgot to mention this.

I've noticed a few things recently with CB. Local Wilkos briefly had an in-store (chargeable) ATM and stopped doing CB, directing customers towards it. They have since gone back to CB.
In Asda last week I asked for CB and was informed by the checkout operator that they were stopping CB at the checkout "because it caused long queues and there are two ATMs outside".

So if what you say is correct then it looks like Asda may be stopping it purely for financial reasons.
Was i Asda today and was asked if i wanted CB, but they may be stopping it on a rolling basis, so eventually stopping in all stores. I know our old Asda store had a Natwest and Lloyds TSB ATM, but when they build their new store the 2 ATMs they have are Asda branded controlled by Barclays, which does not help me as my Lloyds Debit Card will only allow me to use Lloyds ATMs.

You do know that companies have no actual control of these as this is a Debit Card service that is offered at the time of the initial agreement is offered.

I mentioned Our shop at Tesco a few days ago.

I know Tesco welcome my spending far more than Aldi do. What we saved and the loyalty stuff the gave us and cash back points on a credit card spend was great.

I now know that Aldi do not value customers or their feedback so they are less inclined to shop there.

Aldi are on the trailing edge of Supermarket retailing.

The OP is still under the illusion that Aldi is trying to compete with Tesco/Asda.

Rather that look at the fact that Aldi is a no frills budget supermarket like Lidl and will never be on the same level as Tesco/Asda

I do not think they will be on the same level as other stores while they continue as they do.

Aldi are a NO FRILLS DISCOUNT supermarket, so NO FRILLS means NO CASHBACK, NO CARD POINTS, NO SOLD VOUCHERS,NO LOYALTY SCHEMES. these do not mean they dont value customers, what it means is they doint spoend funds and money on all these schemes/services, sop therefore keeping prices down which benefits their customers which they wont fold if you decide not to use them, in fact i think they will put out the flags in celebration.

Aldi has just opened its 500th store and is opening 50 more soon, some in affluent areas. I agree, some people cant seem to understand that its no frills and wont offer loyalty points.

As I said before, this miserable thread should be locked.

I wonder how new this 500th store is ? and where is it ?

I wonder if the new 500th store has new signs inside and out explaining what cards are accepted ?

still makes no difference as they dont give vouchers to those that complain. and i dare say Aldi like all food outlets will get regular visits from their local EHO
