To be perfectly honest if the Co-op March 15 fixed had been available when I first decided to leave SP, I would have gone to them.
The tariff is still available and would be a very slight saving for me but not really worth the aggro of another switch.
We`ll see how it goes with EDF but I wouldn`t hesitate to leave if problems arise.

The energy minister says he wants to make it faster to switch, maybe inside a couple of days, well why doesn`t he get on with it?
Maybe if people could switch "instantly", the suppliers might start focusing on retaining customers with better deals instead of paying £60 a time to the comparison sites to actually get people to change.

The whole thing`s a racket, the suppliers say they only make £90 a year profit from the average customer yet pay out £60 a switch.
If they gave their existing customers £60 to stay wouldn`t that make more sense.

:)I switched through UK Power for the £30.00 cashback, EDF customer service staff said they have never heard of them, you need to keep all the correspondence and keep on top of it. I can change again in 3 month and get another £30.00 or more. I suppose £60.00+ for the hassle of changing your supplier is some compensation. The cashback for EDF Energy 'Blue +Price was only available with UK Power at the time - you have to use this Link http://www.ukpower.co.uk/msecashback
If you use a search engine for UK Power you dont get any cashback.

My Gas/Electric Bill is under £700.00 a year for a 3 Bed Semi - I don't need no smart meter fitted!

:)Don't forget the Warm Home Discount £135.00 The criteria does change between suppliers see https://www.gov.uk/the-warm-home-discount-scheme

EDF Warm Home Discount - Support Plus rebates

Harsh words and poor reasoning never settle anything

EDF took a DD from my account last month for I think £48 when my electric first switched over, I did post on here about it that I was in credit yet my money hadn't left my bank account straight away. They have since taken another DD on the 10th of this month for both gas and leccy, this is the payment which we agreed to. As someone on here said, my first payment was to make sure I didn't start off in arrears. Really, how much can someone get in arrears in a month?

In winter, on average, more than £232.

Is your preference they wait and then charge you an extra £4 or £5 every month?

No you don`t, and the other thing people don`t need is a high daily standing charge.
Some people don`t use gas in the summer but are still hit by a SC.

A SC was forced on the suppliers by Ofgem BUT there`s nothing to stop the suppliers setting it at zero, apart from Ebico they all have a SC some higher than others.

After the faffing around to get MY credit back from SP then yes I would rather they add an extra £4/5 a month. I'd rather be looking at my money than looking for it.!!

I`ve just checked an our EDF account is showing £120 credit but nothing left bank yet. Also it says that the gas isn`t quite transferred over yet!! how long does it take, surely all they have to do it press a button or two!
I have received an email from MSE energy clug to say transfer is all completed, cashback will be paid in approx 60 days.

I`ve just logged into my EDF account and checked "my messages" there are two emails telling me about my payments.
The first concerns the electric because when it was sent the gas hadn`t gone "live" yet.
The second and later one is for both fuels and says the first payment will be on or around the 15th Dec. and on the 15th of the month thereafter.
No mention at all about an (extra) payment at any other time.
The balance shows the first payment which I`m expecting to leave the bank tomorrow.
