If they really are solicitors, then they should know that they are getting into bed with a company that has no respect for the law, and operates on the very edge of it. They should also know that legally their fake tickets are just that - fake and legally a complete shambles.

    Someone needs educating, and fast.

I informed the man co that the tickets can be wiped out and quite often are, they are hoping that it will be a prevention not a cure.

Wow, just wow - a family of solicitors are going to employ a bunch of crooks ????

Anyway, if I were you I would do three things :

    1. Tell the managing agents that you do not wish to participate in the scheme and that you will refuse to recognise it.

    2. Find out who they are planning to employ for sure, then do a search on here for stories about that PPC and send links to the managing agents.

    3. Speak to your neighbours, explain about this con. Even create a flyer and put it through everyone's doors and on the public noticeboards.

Where are you in the country ? I'll happily come and speak to as many residents as you can get together if you're relatively local to me.

You only need one resident to object for the whole scheme to become unworkable. Ideally a freeholder/leaseholder rather than a tenant.
  • Just a question I have never seen answered but applies in this type of instance. Self ticketing, do the PPC transfer the £27 popla charge back to the people who appoint them?
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Although the signs you put up will stop some unwanted people parking there, those in the know will just ignore the parking tickets issued to them and any empty threats of follow up fines. I would go for the keypad code option. (if they don't know the code they cant get in, simple)

But we have a key pad/barrier and they do know the code, they are residents with two cars. We think that we may be able to ttow them if they are blocking emergency vehicles, but we cannot tow cars in visitor spaces.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
