  • Also she works in the heatlh service ao I was trying to take an active interest in what interests her.
  • Dandelionclock30, your response is ludicrous and ignorant.
We all get bored by each other sometimes but that doesnt mean you go ape at each other.
  • I work in IT. IT doesn't interest me, it pays the bills.
If somebody wants to talk to me about IT over tea or even out of work. I'll happily kill them and feed their body to the pigs.

I can't think of anything worse than being forced to talk about work all evening, particularly when I've made it very clear I don't want to.

Not recognising where the situation was heading wasn't very clever. You pushed when you clearly should have backed off.

Would you say the same thing to a female victim of abuse?

    No, didn't think so.

The same goes to everyone else on this thread who is seeking to justify abusive behaviour.

Okay everyone. Well it seems the consesnsus is that I provoked the response so I guess I should go think about that.
As far im concerned I dont deserve to be called stupid and a moron for that though.

    Cheers

Wasn't really what you wanted to hear, was it?;)
  • Yeah well it does interest her. If it didnt we wouldnt have talked for an hour about it.
Is everyone telling me then that when they are pushed too far by a conversation that it is okay to go mental at your partner and call them names and make them feel like crap?
If so, then ill retire from this and give up.

Just want to clarify that it wasnt a question time debate. It wasnt a you're wrong and im right thing so I wasnt pushing a point. It was more philosophical than question time.

So why keep pushing the conversation when she asked you not to if you weren't trying to prove somehow that your view was the correct one?

I would say that for a lot of people when they get home from work or on their days off the last thing they want to sit and talk about is their sector of work.

You don't. Nobody does. Maybe it's time to walk away for good?
