    Remember this post WTBSE?
You allowed £1,500 for a car.and you are now only spending 1k on a car. A saving of £500 and whatever you get for your car. So you are ahead of your target already! Way to go! WTBSE! :j

Oh Gosh, yes I do remember this post! Eek..did I really say £5K?? Well, £1.5K done, only £3.5K to go! OMG that is scary! My sister did me a special 'baby sister deal' ;) She was selling the car for £1700, so I got a good deal there!
Now my main focus will be on saving £2K to move house asap!

Will be putting another £150 in the pot today...will update to new total later.

    OK, new total =£1422.28 :)

Put £200 instead of £150 into the savings pot. I am not going to make my goal of £1500 else.

Feeling guilty that I haven't taken the kids out anywhere for half term. They have been stuck in the house all week while I am at work. I might out an extra few £ petrol in the car this weekend and take them to the beach. Depends on how cold it is.

Take them out for a pizza. Always made mine happy in a cold half term.

oh I love fish and chips on the beach. And today was a gorgeous sunny day where I was. So it would have been the perfect day for it. :)

I love fish and chips at the seaside, but not on the beach. I worry about seagulls and sand in my food. :o
I could just eat some now! :(

How far are you from the nearest beach WTBSE?

About a 30min drive, TM6. But i wouldn't go to the nearest one, I'd go to my favourite one which is an hour away.
Google 'Crooklets Beach, Bude' and you'll get an idea of why- its stunning. I used to live a 2 min walk from there.

Change of plan, my sister is dropping off the car today! I might see if i can put up a photo!

Never had any seagulls make an attempt on my fish and chips - I had a bottle of orange juice nicked at the beach once many years ago but don't think the culprit was a seagull :rotfl:Though I did once see a seagull make off with an entire ramekin full of jam, which it managed to pick up with its beak, but that just seemed like an achievement really, I nearly gave it a loud cheer.

I'd love some fish and chips right now too! It must be getting towards summer already (ha ha).
