I do read a lot of threads and chip in where I think I can help.

I gave up and went shopping instead.

    Anyone:eek: can read too.

It's all very well reading from the Web, but there is so much I should be doing, like housework.

I don't normally touch my thermostat - I just turn the boiler on or off as required.

Yes, it's been windy, with the associated wind chill, but indoors it's quite warm.

And you've declared your savings for January in the 12K in 2014 thread already! I don't do it, but I wouldn't be able to declare until the 31st (dividend day) anyway.

Reading from the web is so much more fun than housework though :)

I have been mindful of keeping the heat down, but you're right, it's really not that cold at the moment.

Re the savings, I might be able to squirrel a little more away this month but may as well hold fire now till Feb.

I know, I'm being silly :) It was just rather sudden. It was a bit like someone making a comment about Prince Phillip only to have the man himself appear to reply. :)

I had a thanks from the man himself once :money: and when I commented on it he thanked me again. Had to take out a restraining order in the end, obviously stalking me .

Blimey, really!! That must have been a "moment" :) What did you say that he thanked you for, gallygirl? ... :)

    Morning All :)

You've all been busy while i've been sleeping :D

Gallygirl-I'm impressed, what did the man himself say to you?

I am £40 away from reaching my £1000 target for January, which means i'll definitely be able to make it! :j

I am thinking I'll aim for £1500 by the end of February. I don't think that's an unrealistic target to set.

I will HOPEFULLY have some extra hours at work on a regular basis soon. One of the girls wants to cut down her hours (and eventually leave), and i am the only person who has said they wants more hours...so fingers crossed!

Supposed to be going out to lunch with my boys at 1.15, to celebrate my oldest son's 14th (tomorrow), but he is still in bed :D Oh to be a teenager again!

    Have a great day!

Nothing - just pressed the thanks button twice but I could tell a lot of respect went into it :rotfl:. I did also get a reply to a PM once as well :T. Cathybird - that was indeed quite a moment :D.

WTBSE - impressive looking figures :j.

Thanks Gallygirl, i am getting there with the figures. I get frustrated easily by the slowness of it all, but i know it'll be worth it in the end :)

Hey Cathy- i hope you are feeling all better now?

The tummy bug is all better but still have a slight cold ... it has hung on very persistently - have had it since just after Christmas. But basically okay, WantToBeSE - thanks for asking :)

WTBSE, I love your idea of setting a target

I need to see how January works out and then I will set a February target
