Cornwall is such a lovely place to live, i love it
I really hope so - we SO much want to move down here but there is no guarantee.
I totally agree, it is very beautiful"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
Cornwall is gorgeous, such a lovely place. I'd move there myself if I could find work but there's no way I could earn the amount I do in London.
Not that I'm on a massive wage but I'm sure it would be less.

Hello!
I survived my first AF Friday night. Am off out for a meal and drinks with friends tonight, so am trying to think of AF drinks that i can have. Going to see if i can get a quick hair cut today before i go out. It's been 3 years since i have been out for an evening. The downfalls of being a single parent with no childcare.0 -

Tricky - sparkling water, or is that not exciting enough? ... I try to avoid going out with friends if I am off alcohol to be honest - it's too easy to succumb to "just one glass". My other tip is that I avoid watching telly - everyone in TV dramas seems to drink, usually far more than is good for them, so you're always seeing characters with glasses of wine in front of them, and it puts the idea in your head.0 -

Well done you for last night :T
I am teetotal by choice and I like Blackcurrant squash :rotfl: It also tastes great with lemonade.
If you want a thirst quenching drink in the summer, what do you drink?
Let us know how you get on"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
well done on your alcohol free night. I don't really drink as I don't like the taste. The only thing I am close to liking is Smirnoff ice. I had two on New Years Eve rather reluctantly and only because everyone made out like I was being boring! I was thinking back and reckon I have had about 7 alcoholic drinks over the whole of 2013! Much to hubby's disgust!
I hope you friend made it up from Fremington okay.
Have a lovely weekend xOrange Fairy

How did your night out last night go WTBSE?
I am feeling very sad. We are on our way home from Cornwall and I SO don't want to leave. I really do need to knuckle down to saving so that we can move down here over the summer holidays.

Good Morning Diary!
It's lovely to log in and see that people have written on here, it makes me feel like i am not just talking away to myselfI do that enough at home!
I had a lovely meal out last night (thanks OF, my friend made it down here fine, the roads were normal as it had stopped raining)- AF again. I just stuck to coke and lemonade. Being AF made it cheaper too, as it only cost £22 for the meal, plus £6 for 3 drinks of coke and lemonadeI would be paying £6 PER GLASS if i was on the wine. So that went well
It felt lovely to get all dressed up and looking pretty. I very rarely do it, and doing it more is one of my NY resolutions.
The boys are both at their Dads house, so i am having a nice relaxing Sunday. I am going to get the housework done, put the washing away, do more washing, clean and hoover as much of the house as i can, be brave and venture into the teenagers room to clean it..eeek!
I need to find out what my teenager wants to do for his birthday. We always go out for a meal on our birthdays, but i am not sure id he'll just want to slum it and go to Pizza Hut, or go to our local Table Table (that's where we always normally go).
Going to get a nice early night tonight too.
Have a safe journey back, TM6Just think of your stay in Cornwall as a great incentive to clear debt/save up money.
Have a wonderful day, everyone!0 -
Ok, have done at least SOME housework
washed the dishes, collected rubbish and washing from both bedrooms, done 2 loads of washing, written budget and meal plan for the week.
Phew! I feel shattered already!0 -
That's more than I manage most days ... at this time of year all I want to do is curl up and hibernate.0
