i know what you mean 21 yr old sons are just as bad lol.
cake design isnt going well. i was going to order a cake but we really cant afford it so we have decided to buy M&S cakes and decorate ourselves, or should i say myself as i dont think H2B will be much help lol. anyway im at a bit of a loss as to what to do with them without ending up spending the same as we would of done to buy one. i was going to get 3 tiers but now im thinking 2 tiers and get a cutting bar to stretch it. and i want some kind of flowers i like sugar flowers and was going to have a go at making them but the sugar paste costs a fortune, and im worried they look rubbish and i end up having to spend more on ready made ones. and i dont know how to stack it or how to arrange the flowers aaarrrgg. the cake is becoming the most stressful part of the wedding.
iv done 3 things right in my life and their all perfect

have you thought about finding a local sugarcraft class and asking if someone there could help you? I'm sure someone would jump at the chance. They could have photos etc etc... Or your local branch of the womens institute? I'm just trying to think laterally for you.

bought my dress this morning. 3rd one i tried on in 1st shop. Was on the sale rail. But i live it and htb gave me the cash to pay for it immediately. Bit disappointed i now have to find a dressmaker to shorten it. Felt a bit as if they didn't care once they had my cash. Ahhhh well.....

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Today im having a bit of a strop. All the big things are done/sorted/dusted etc but there are little niggly things that are annoying me and I cant really fix them right this minute arg! Yes i'm maybe a little bit of a control freak ;)

Ceremony music - Planning on having a friend play acoustic guitar but havent been able to decide on any songs yet and worried they wont sound as good on acoustic guitar?!

Lighting - The venue has these LED orange strip lights in the ceremony room that they said couldnt be changed so we had planned to have these off and have booked some uplighters to have a different colour but apparently they can be changed?!

Decoration - I have no decoration in the reception room which I thought was ok but now im having second thoughts.

    First Dance - Stuck!

Bubble Machine - Got one of these to pump on after the deed is done/signing the register. Need to work out where to put it/whos flicking the on switch/do we need a fan to make them go higher?!

Venue in general - I hate the fact that I dont know what its gonna look like until the minute I walk up the aisle! What if I wanna change something?!

    Fnar haha!

personally i love blackbird by the Beatles played accoustically. Its so delicate. I have my dress and wearing antique Wedgewood jewellery which i was left many years ago. For a non girly person I'm turning a bit feminine ha ha

Ceremony music - Planning on having a friend play acoustic guitar but havent been able to decide on any songs yet and worried they wont sound as good on acoustic guitar?! Does your friend have a 'usual repatoire' that they could play? If not try looking for acoustic guitar music on Google and then sample the things you find on Spotify (if you can find them)??

Lighting - The venue has these LED orange strip lights in the ceremony room that they said couldnt be changed so we had planned to have these off and have booked some uplighters to have a different colour but apparently they can be changed?! Have the venue told you they could be changed? If you change the colour of the LED lights would there be an extra charge? If you cancel your uplighters would there be a fee? What do those two costs compare like?

Decoration - I have no decoration in the reception room which I thought was ok but now im having second thoughts. Have you tried looking on Pinterest to find ideas for things you like? There may be things you can do yourself like streamers or those paper puff ball things which look lovely and would work out low cost as you could do them yourself. This is where being so well planned will pay off for you!

First Dance - Stuck! Is there a song that you think of straight away everytime you think of OH?

Bubble Machine - Got one of these to pump on after the deed is done/signing the register. Need to work out where to put it/whos flicking the on switch/do we need a fan to make them go higher?! Could BM or a bridesmaid do this? Or one of your witnesses?!

Venue in general - I hate the fact that I dont know what its gonna look like until the minute I walk up the aisle! What if I wanna change something?! Could you ask them if they have any other weddings booked in before your wedding that you could go and have a sneaky peek at before the room is in use? Then you would get a general idea of how it will all look and can action any changes you want to make...

    Fnar haha!
