Sazarella your dress is absolutely beautiful!! Well done for losing another 1lb!

I have had to crack on with my wedding diet as since I bought my dress I have had 2 holidays and Christmas and have managed to stack on a whopping 22lbs!!! (I am a massive yoyoer when it comes to my weight).. cracked on with the 5/2 diet last week and have lost 7lbs so only 15lb left to go to be 'dress weight' but I would like to lose more if possible... I think I will get away with going back for my dress alterations at the beginning of June so that gives me about 8 weeks to diet and my dress 7 weeks to be ready..

Thank you :) The dress was £120 from JJsHouse.com(from china).

Well done on the weight loss and just keep doing what you're doing :)

I've put on so much weight, was a size 14 when we got together 4 years ago and worked my way up to a size 22 :( Have lost 3 stone since May 2013 when we got engaged and am a size 18 now. Would have liked to be a size 16 for the wedding but I yo-yo so much as well. The dress fits nicely now though so im not overly worried about getting down to a 16 but I will continue with the diet. Going to get some capped sleeves added to the dress though cause I hate my flabby arms and not sure I will be able to get a strapless bra big enough

I was a 16(ish) when we got together and have also ballooned up to a 22 - 2 years ago I lost 5st and went back down to the 16 but have slowly put most of it back on again (how depressing!!) so need to start the battle again. I had made good progress like I mentioned in my previous message but since then have just relaxed due to holidays etc... My biggest problem is he is a serious feeder and doesn't care if I am a 16 or a 22...

Have you tried looking at Bravissimo for a strapless bra? Thats where I am planning to go as well as a local place who specialise in bigger sizes and the Bravissimo website indicate they do big sizes... (I'm a 38H)

Started getting some replies back from our RSVPs now!! Problem I am having is that people who I speak to regularly assume I know they are coming and aren't hurrying to send invites back lol xx

You've done it before so you know you can do it again, just got to keep the will power going. I know what you mean about your partner, mines is the same but now he's also on a diet so it's easier doing it together.

I did look in Bravissamo but I'm a 36HH and that extra H seems to mean I can't find a bra in my size. Curvy Kate is bringing out a strapless bra in my size......in September, doh!!

That sounds about right!! Maybe try going into Bravissmino to get fitted for one? It might be that they can suggest something (i.e. smaller back, bigger cup or visa versa?) :( Its never fair having big bubs! x

Beautiful dress Sazz, and it really suits your figure. Kind of envious I didn't go for a floaty summery dress now :( LOVE my dress obviously but if it's roasting hot on the day you'll be the cooler bride!

I've C&P my still to do list and am pleased to be able to knock some off yay :T

    Still to do!
    Sort passports for honeymoon
Get forms with vows and readings etc and payment back to registrar
Pay rest of balance at venue£1000 more paid off yesterday
[STRIKE]Entertainment - OH's area and if he's got something sorted it's a surprise. We may just end up with package DJ at this rate.
Choose music for entrance/signing of register/exit[/STRIKE] Decided on a string quartet for entrance music and they will play up until we eat :) OH also asking a band he know's to play and if they can't we'll just have the package DJ
[STRIKE]Bouquets/buttonholes/corsages[/STRIKE] Discussed flowers with florist yesterday - they're doing table flowers as part of package and we save 10% on bouquets etc if we book with them. Lovely lady and will be going with her
[STRIKE]Table plan[/STRIKE] Sorted this the other night and can rejig if anyone can't come although we're expecting everyone
[STRIKE]Insert for invites with extra details of parking/local hotels etc[/STRIKE] Invites posted today due to a couple of delays (including OH having op on his arm to have metal work removed due to his broken arm last Oct) - MEN!!!
    Children's packs for tables
Wedding favours - I just can't think of what to have!
    Underwear for me
    Shoes/jewellery/hair for adult bridesmaids
Bridesmaid dresses & shoes for my daughters Hopefully finding these this week!
Groom/Groomsmen outfits (bone of contention here, OH thinks it will happen by magic and this is not my department otherwise I'd be taking groomsmen off myself for a shopping trip!!)
Wedding rings Had a look and think we know what we're going for
Buy rest of bits and sweeties for sweetie buffet Bought a few more bowls, will borrow rest from OH's Nanna
Room/table decs Know what we're having now, just got to buy/make them
Thank you gifts for bridal party
Actually decide on how I want my hair!
Book someone for make up (have 2 suggestions from a BM so will prob go with them
Book waxing/nails etc and have a trial run

Still quite a few things to do but feel the pressure lifting slightly. Had a venue meeting yesterday where we tasted and decided on the adult and children's menu, discussed finer details etc. Ahh can feel a small amount of excitement poking through the stress!!
    Extra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
Original MF date Feb 2025. Currently Feb 2030:eek: Aiming for Jan 2025 :T

Thanks :) I had actually been regretting this dress due to it being rather plain (compared to the ones you see on don't tell the bride). I even contemplated buying another dress!! However I feel much better in it now that I've lost some weight.

I love the string quartet idea, that will be fab :D

I think you look lovely and I agree with Cat - I bet you are the cool one and those of us with bigger dresses regret our choice of a summer wedding lol!! Not that I would change my dress for the world I love it more than anything.. It has been the only instant decision I have made!

I have an organist at the church but no idea what to do regarding music at the venue whilst we eat - I hadn't thought about it but it will be nicer with some light music playing in the background and our DJ won't be there until 7.30.. Might have to look into an iPod and docking station set up xx

We are the same, acoustic guitarist during the ceremony and the DJ doesnt start until 7.30pm. However the venue has a PA system (its an events venue) which we are going to plug an ipod into and I've made up a spotify playlist of around 800 songs for the day. Going to put this on shuffle and use it for the Drinks Reception/Dinner.
