Hello, can I join in too please? :) We're getting married on 2nd August and I'm at that 'panic cos there's still loads to do but seem unable to get things done as my brain is in overload and I don't know what to do next' stage.

We have a package booked at a lovely localish venue which includes ceremony/reception/evening/chair covers & sashes/some drinks/table linen/table flowers/DJ etc etc. This is taking up most of our budget and is making me slack with getting thinks done because as it's all part of the package I don't need to go out and source it decisions on things have taken a back seat grr. I really need to give myself a good talking to.

We only booked last June after a friend (now a bridesmaid!) said something during a shopping trip and it snowballed into booking a wedding! Officially engaged on News Year's Eve when I finally found a ring that is 'the one'.

If I list what I've got done it might make me feel a bit better!

    Venue/food/reception booked
    Registrar booked
    Photographer booked
Cake at about to pay deposit stage
Invitations & place name cards about to be paid for and received
    My dress/shoes/flats for evening/veil/tiara bought
4 x adult bridesmaid dresses bought
Appointment to discuss table flowers and quote for bouquets booked
Appointment in process of being booked to taste menu & discuss finer details of day with venue
Hairdresser booked for me and my daughters for day
    Wedding insurance paid for
Honeymoon (& insurance) booked and deposit paid
Rooms booked at venue for night before/wedding night
Some glass dishes and paper bags bought for sweetie buffet
Found somewhere to do my dress alterations

    Still to do!
    Sort passports for honeymoon
Get forms with vows and readings etc and payment back to registrar
Pay rest of balance at venue
Entertainment - OH's area and if he's got something sorted it's a surprise. We may just end up with package DJ at this rate.
Choose music for entrance/signing of register/exit
    Bouquets/buttonholes/corsages
    Table plan
Insert for invites with extra details of parking/local hotels etc
    Children's packs for tables
Wedding favours - I just can't think of what to have!
    Underwear for me
    Shoes/jewellery/hair for adult bridesmaids
Bridesmaid dresses & shoes for my daughters
Groom/Groomsmen outfits (bone of contention here, OH thinks it will happen by magic and this is not my department otherwise I'd be taking groomsmen off myself for a shopping trip!!)
    Wedding rings
Buy rest of bits and sweeties for sweetie buffet
    Room/table decs
Thank you gifts for bridal party
Actually decide on how I want my hair!
Book someone for make up (have 2 suggestions from a BM so will prob go with them
Book waxing/nails etc and have a trial run

Don't need transport as I will be staying at the venue the night before with my BMs, parents and DDs. OH will prob stay with best man and will get himself there!

Still have lots to do, and my main worries are groomsmen suits and rings - we really need to get these sorted. I'm sure everything will fall into place but I'm having a bit of a panic.
My BMs are fab and are helping where possible - hen day at a spa for BMs, a close friend and I has been taken care of and the obligatory night out is being organised for me too.
I have a colour coded list which is helping (I love lists!!) so I'm starting to see things a bit more clearly now and not in denial so much!
Sorry it's such a long first post!

We are date twinnies and by the sounds of things anxiety twinnies too!!! Reading through your very concise list has made me realise how much I have to do :(

I can't believe it's so soon! I refuse to see how many days or weeks away it is, I'll stick with my just over 4 months for now lol. Eek, 4 months really isn't that long. I'm sure we'll both have everything done, dusted and perfect for 2nd August :)

LOL!!! I am counting the weeks with dread - I'm sorry to do this but its 18 weeks (which does feel a little longer than 4 months)..

I am sure I will but I am absolutely dreading NOT having it all done! I have got all the 'big' bits done its just not very nice knowing there is STILL so much to do and then wonders like Sazzarella have got it ALL done already!!! I am very jealous of that.. I would love to be able to relax from now until the Big Day but instead feel like I am uncurling further each day lol x

I'm getting married August 24th and have done so little! Still a mountain to do.

Booked ceremony venue - Registry office in Newark on Trent
Booked to give notice - finally!
Bought dress - still needs to be altered & still not entirely sure about it - needs another try. My mum knows someone who I hope will do the alterations but despite asking her to ask 3 times already, I'm still no closer it seems
    Bought H2B suit
    Bought my shoes

    That's all

Thought I had reception venue sorted but the person I'm dealing with is not filling me with confidence about it. She should have been in touch in January with menu options - still waiting despite 2 phone calls and now an email to prompt. So searching for alternatives.
Sent so many enquiries to photographers, make up artists - all want a small fortune

    Losing the will now!

I thought I would enjoy doing this so much more than I actually am

Invitations went out yesterday - thats a weight off as I was starting to panic about it. My cousin is getting married the week before I am (they booked after we'd sent out save the dates out) and have sent out their invites with the RSVP dated 2 weeks prior to even receiving the invite... I obsessively proof checked all my bits again last night to check I hadn't made any mistakes.

Just got the prices through from the florist and need to start the run through of the 'final details' with people.

Anybody else feeling pressure? Less than 4 months to go :( x
