I cannot genuinely believe people still in this day and age believe in the Ouija.

It's up there with Father Christmas and the tooth fairy. Religion is another, so many proclaim truth, only one can be right.

I'm going to get on it and contact Michael Jackson.

Who has actually said they believe in it on here? I cant find anyone
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

ok, im going to tell you something and im going to put my hand on my heart and swear on the bible now. This is true what im going to say. Believe it or not as this as you say is only a stupid toy. But would love to hear any explanation you could offer me.

I went on a board around 2 years ago, my father died 4 years ago this new years day coming up.

I was invited to a Ouija meeting by some people who were quite knowledgeable about this kind of thing, I only went on it as i'm a non believer and love to catch people out. I was told my dad was in the room, great I thought, never spoke to him much when he was alive so this was going to be fun. I was told to ask my father a question no one in the room could possibly know. So I thought quite hard and asked my dad what song was playing on the hospital radio in the ward the moment he died. No one could have know this and lets face it there are millions of songs to choose from. I had my finger on this glass but it was on so lightly that if the glass moved my finger simply slipped off. I also watched everyone else's fingers on the glass hoping to see one nail go white with the pressure of pressing. No one on that glass knew the answer. No one!

So I asked my dad the question, my wife was stood back from me but watching, she had no contact on the glass but knew the answer to the question I asked my father.

Soon as I asked the question and bare in mind I was watching everyone else's fingers and paying no attention to the letters (I didnt even know where the letters where placed) As soon as I asked the question the glass began to move in a steady pace.

    F.A.T.H.E.R.A.N.D.S.O.N.

My hairs stood up on my neck.

    Explain that from a toy.

Interesting. If nothing else, because hospital radio usually exclude that song from their playlists due to the 'I'm a crap dad who has screwed up my kid like me' sentiment. As they do 'who wants to live forever' by Queen and 'Mack the knife'.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Oh come on. Stay way from the occult. People like you giving your "experiences".

The phenomena of this kind of thing has been well documented over time in science.

It's interesting things like "psychic" powers hae never been confirmed in a cold, controlled setting.

The Ouija board is for the naughty kids out there, whilst the good ones believe in the tooth fairy.

Is hospital radio broadcast on loudspeakers in wards so everyone there - patients, visitors, clincal, medical and ward staff - can hear what's being played and said?
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

This is what im trying to get at the science of it. Regardless in what you believe. I cannot believe people still believe in god in this day and age but they do and are entitled to do so. However we are getting replies from people who say its a kids game but people believe its true. I have witnessed it and im a non believer because I believe there is a science involved but never had it explained. Please explain the science to me.

Read the link I posted yesterday at the top of this page, that explains it, its called the 'ideomotor effect'.

Im not a religious person by the way. I said I would swear to you to.reasurei was telling the truth. What I said was the truth there was much more but that was a good example of what happened yet still no explanation

Swearing on a bible is pointless if you are not religious. It's pretty pointless even if you are, in reality. But why would you make such a statement? Why not swear on the Guinness Book of Records?

You want an explanation, so I will suggest the obvious one. People who get involved in any of this spiritualist stuff are desperate to hear what they want to hear, so they are likely to imagine that they do so. It is all within the mind, whether it is spirits, religion or whatever. There are no such things as 'spirits' and you cannot speak to dead people, even though people have been trying for centuries. The clue is in the word 'dead'.

    This.

People who believe in the Ouija are open to influence, which is where ideomotor comes into it.

The kind of people who pay money to psychics who fish and cold read.
