So what are these dangers? You didn't bother replying to that question.

It is a toy made by a toy company, just like Monopoly or Cluedo. It is for amusement if that's your sort of thing. But please don't tell me anybody takes it seriously. Unless they already have some sort of delusional illness.

The thing is that many do take it seriously and believe what it tells them. Personally I've only come across it iwhen people genuinely think it can connect them to the 'spirit world'.

You keep talking about info gained from using a ouija board.....

That is impossible. Ouija boards were created as a game. You cannot contact spirits.

I'd say there's more to be gained from listening to the gossip in the staff room.

    Can you confirm this?

Its easy to confirm that it was created as a game.

As for the other, well its impossible to prove a negative like that, just as you can't prove that my pet leopard who helps me finish the Times crossword doesn't exist.

I played it unwisely as a child in my friends house. I was about 10 and we got Jack the Ripper. We didn't know who Jack the Ripper was.

Just the two of us playing and blimey we were amazed at the speed the glass went to spell the words.

In the end the name it spelt out didn't spook us (as I said, we didn't know who Jack the Ripper was) but the speed of the glass when neither of us was pushing it did.

Simular experience myself. thank you Judi.

But if someone takes a board game seriously enough for it to disturb their lives, then they must be in a pretty fragile mental state. How dumb would anybody have to be to believe they can contact dead people, either using a board and glass or by any other means. It is all an illusion and/or a delusion.

I get really annoyed by these people who put on public shows for gullible, vulnerable and stupid people, conning them out of considerable sums of money with their fraudulent rubbish. And they are all frauds, of course.

I can only conclude that people who believe an Ouija board is anything but a simple board game for amusement purposes must be rather like the saps who throw money at the likes of Sally Morgan. More fool them!

Yes, he did. He talked about 'putting his hand on his heart and swearing on the bible.' The sort of thing you hear from an 8-year-old. The rest of the drivel just confirmed it!:p

Should get back on there and ask him what his real name is. You could solve a 125 year mystery then.

Whilst you're there, ask Elvis and Tupac if they are really dead.

You know im a really openminded person do not believe in things unless I witness the fact, Loch Ness Monster, ive not seen it so do not know if it exsists or not, Big Foot, not seen it again do not know if its out there or not, never seen a ghost, never seen a fairy at the bottom of my garden, Elvis is apparently dead and I believe he is dead along with Tupac. Never seen a UFO but I believe that there has to be a form of life out there somewhere, but until I see a UFO im open minded about it.

Going back to my experience on a Ouija board and only ever been on one 2 times but being an open minded person and most of the information that came out was true but would like it to be explained. I know I never moved the glass as my finger was always slipping off but I believe that there is an explanation and why is it spirits can only apparently communicate through an empty upside down tumber?

I beleive that somehow it was minipulated somehow, maybe through thoughts, radio signals perhaps, after all we are made up from chemical and mineral compounds, and quartz has something to do with radio signals so maybe there are eliments in our body that has the capability to transmit some kind of signals, or maybe its true that spirits do actually communicate with us, believe or not there are answers but as humans we do not have the capability to find them as our brains cannot comprehend them.

As I was among 6 people and my wife, who again I say was stood back from me as she did not agree with dabbling on the Ouija but has to admit that what I wrote was a true account. I could give another example of the extreme but as it was a war zone conflict would not write the information down here, but again it was confirmed. Here is another little funny example, I was asked to say something to my dad who had died a few years beforehand, so I said 'Dad, remember that day back in the late 70's when we walked to Tittlecock fair along the old railway line? Well what did I stand in on the way to the fair?' sure anyone could thing of dog chit, or a puddle of water perhaps, but no, the board spelled out 'cow pat'. What are the chances of someone knowing that answer around that table? Yes ther eis an explanation but i want to find it.

  • I cannot genuinely believe people still in this day and age believe in the Ouija.

It's up there with Father Christmas and the tooth fairy. Religion is another, so many proclaim truth, only one can be right.

I'm going to get on it and contact Michael Jackson.
