As it's been a long while since I used to post regularly, I thought I would introduce myself properly. :o

I readily acknowledge I have a problem hoarding toiletries and I have slowly been trying to tackle it. I have a particularly large collection of shower gel, conditioner and moisturiser and I have a huge range of nail polish, plus lots of different toiletries and cosmetics, most of which I rarely use and some of which are years old. I also have a weakness for sparkly make up and pretty palettes.

The amount of stuff I have accumulated over the years makes me feel anxious and my stash just seems neverending. :embarasse I am too ashamed and embarrassed to list everything I have in my cupboards on here and would be mortified to actually take it all out and confront it head on. However, although I still can't resist a great bargain, I rarely buy much any more so at least I don't have many new additions these days.

I am comforted by the fact that I am not alone and hopefully this thread will help me to stay on track and keep using up my goodies. :)

Hi, I only joined the challenge this week but I did do a list. Took me a couple of days to sort but I'm glad I did it. One, it was a huge wake up call to see it there in black and white  and two it helps me to have a list to cross off things as it gives me a sense of achievement. :o
I didn't list my make up stash because although I have a lot, it is neatly stored in Muji storage and I am happy with it and I don't feel I have a problem with it.

Anyway, on to today and two UU.

    1. Avon Advance Techniques 360 nourishment Moroccan Argan oil Conditioner 250ml. WMBA - wasn't anything special but wasn't awful either. Did what it's supposed to do and at a good price.

    2. Especially Escada Elixir perfume sample - this was just a freebie sachet but WNBA - too floral for me, I prefer more musky, vanilla scents with perhaps a touch of floral.

I have a couple of splutterers so hopefully there will be some more UUs next week.

  • Got a few more IN, three that I'll count from Glamour box, plus I was running low on shampoo so bought L'Oreal Everstrong shampoo, Eversleek Shampoo and Eversleek conditioner today seen as it was 3 for 2 in Boots. I've only really tried Everpure which I love so thought I'd try some of the others and these two seemed to be most suited to my hair type. Looking forward to trying those.

Have had two UU today also:
Purdie's bath bomb - Camomile, vanilla and something else.... Large, fizzed well and turned the bath water a lovely shade of blue, some annoying bits though - don't often have baths, I prefer showers but I think mainly that's as the bathroom has seen better days so if I'm lying in the bath I don't find it a very relaxing experience looking around me!! New bathroom definitely next on my wishlist... Felt a bit off colour today so thought a bath might help, it was a good opportunity to get an extra UU while I was at it. Also finished off some Everpure Shampoo, a HG for me so WBA

Early night tonight I think as headache is resolutely refusing to budge!
  • Hope you feel better after a good nights sleep Ems.
    Night night sleep well.
 Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.
  • Another UU: Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel face mask - I keep getting vouchers for 250 Boots points if I buy anything from this range. Whenever I get them, I buy this 89p face mask, so it's very MSE. I do like the mask anyway, so WBA.

Have had a really lovely bubble bath tonight - my first with real bubbles for over 4 years! After my allergy test, I was able to pick out a bubble bath I'm not allergic to, and I would recommend the BS Honeymania bath melt - I used about a tablespoon, and it was the bubbliest bath I've ever had. I have a huge tub to get through now.
  • Hello loves

The UU's are a bit slow this month:
    1. Clarins Hydraquench Cream normal to dry - WMBA, still not hydrating enough for my skin. I should probs combine this with a serum to get the level of hydration my skin needs.
    2. Clarins Hydraquench Lotion normal to combination - WNBA, too light for me

Okay time to catch up on the thread x
  • UU

TBS small banana shaped soap - WNBA - PP no 8

    Cotton Wool pads - WBA

Painted my nails with Crows toes heartless - not normally a fan of pink but this one is growing on me.

You're in good company here if you have an embarrassingly large stash, personally I post it to try and keep myself on track.

Here it is if you want a look :eek::eek:

With the additions, don't beat yourself up, even if you give in half the time, that's still only buying half the stuff you would normally have bought! :D Welcome to the thread x

I didn't do a list either, but found by sorting and storing things by type, i.e. hair care, facial stuff, shower gels, body creams etc. that I more easily resist buying "bargains" because I know pretty much what I have and what I will be bringing into use next, now I feel the need to buy stuff much less and am actually enjoying "shopping my stash"

    Me too!! :T:T:T

    Night night sleep well.

Feeling much better today thank you, a good night's sleep was definitely the answer. Was a bit of a migraine that niggled away all day - I was going to go into work today to do a few extra hours to try and keep on top of the frankly unmanageable workload but I've decided to give it a miss as its probably what caused the problem in the first place. Plus if I keep doing that then nothing will be done to help.... So today is dedicated to catching up with TV, tidying up and pottering about and I think I'll go for a walk later - I have retail park a stone's throw now that wasn't there last Christmas.... Its proving extra tempting but also I must admit very handy when I do actually need things.

I think I've one UU I forgot to declare which is VO5 Gloss Me Smoothly shampoo - WBA cheap and effective, I like to have a couple of shampoos on the go at any one time to alternate as this seems to work best for me. My hair routine now is quite well established and effective after years of trial and error, lots of fail products and many, many bad hair days! Luckily these days it pretty much behaves most of the time, having it longer seems to help in that respect too.

Enjoy your Sunday ladies, I intend to have a fair relaxing one so my batteries are recharged to face Monday x

Welcome, Babafette, I couldn't face listing everything either, but I did count what I had. It helps to see the countdown - I feel I'm getting somewhere. It doesn't weem to work for my weight though!

    3 UUs to report:
Laura Geller eyeshadow/eye rimz duo in vanilla toffee/blackcherry. This lasted about 2 years, and was my everyday eyeshadow, even though i've never used brown before. Browns normally look too red on my lids, but the eye rimz in black cherry, used as a smudge, worked very well, and I used it to temper the rather glittery vanilla toffee shadow. WnBA as I've too much to use up.

1.5 ml.Caudalie vine expert eye & lip serum. This came with the LIB award winners box, but didn't do anything much for me. WNBA.

10ml No7 Lift and Luminate night cream. GWP and WNBA as didn't work any better than others I've tried.

We've had our first frost here so I'm off to bring the tender plant pots into the conservatory. Cat will have to stop sleeping there now as I'll have to close the window and she won't be able to get in! Means I'll have to set up a litter tray in the bathroom, which is a chore.
