Well, that went fairly well.
I was put on hold while she checked with someone, and it turns out I have the card without cashback.
.
Interesting, I just went into the Luma website and there is no mention of the availability of a cashback card. It only shows through a direct link.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
I received an account password yesterday by email (sent user id in another email, not received yet), did you receive user id and password close together? I have just received pin but not card yet.
I received the password email which said they had sent ID separately. Like you, nothing else turned up by email. In fact one just uses the email address as registered with them as the user ID.
Also like you I've subsequently received the PIN but no card so far. Perhaps it will come tomorrow.0 -
Just wondering is it normal to ask for your salary/household income /mortgage payment/other outgoings on a credit card application? I did have an aqua card and sure it asked for my salary but nothing else.
Did anyone not answer any of these questions? I started the application, but was a little reluctant when I got to this section so holding off for now....
Applied for mine today, after completing the online application got a message saying further checks have to be made. I deliberately didn't fill in the outgoings box because (to be honest) I didn't have time to sit down and work it out, so thought if they needed the field filled in then it wouldn't let me onto the next screen. Well it did go onto the next screen and this is probably why I haven't got an immediate answer. Just hope I haven't bug*ered up the possibility of being accepted now. Stupid, I should have waited until I had more time.
Edit: Rang and spoke to someone (0800 597 0065), who said the omission does not necessarily mean the application would be turned down, just that they might ask for the info. Have to say the person I spoke to didn't really sound very clued up though. No email received from them.

Yes email works, cheers, thanks for that.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Just noticed this morning there's a nice little £1.87 credit showing in the account from a £47 or thereabouts Tesco purchase two days ago.
So it would appear the cashback is working.0 -
After reading your post I checked mine and £3.89 showing. Unusual as the normal Cap1 only shows once the statement has been paid.0

Can anyone confirm, please, whether they had a "further check, will let you know in 7 days" message, but their application went on to be successful? I need to hunt around for something else if this is unsuccessful as my Aqua 3% card's only got just over a month left.0

Mine was. Applied Sat 2nd and got the message, received welcome e-mail Wed 6th, PIN Fri 8th and card Wed 11th.0

Luma are certainly quick, applied yesterday, got my login details today via email. Logged in, changed password and cash back summary is there. Cool. £1,500 limit to boot. Bonus. Probably never use more than about £250, but always useful in an emergency. Setup the DD whilst I was there and turned off paper statements.
Things I'm unhappy with so far:
Links in emails. Banks and credit card companies should never do this. Tell the user to visit your home page and and click a link from there instead.
Generating password characters before you've logged in. So a thief only needs to have 3 characters and just keep refreshing the page until it requests those characters before entering the user name and password characters. Just tried it using two different browsers, logged in twice using the same set of 3 password characters. Not good.0
