    Hi Folks,

Hope you've all got through Monday in one piece!

Sorry I've been so quiet lately, lots of personal stuff going on, but never fear I am still abiding by my MSE ways and reading your posts! The support on here is fabulous- you are all a lovely jubbley bunch :)

    Current SFD's= 10 :j

Good to hear from you, Loveadove. 10 nsds is fabulous!:T:T:T Well done. Hope things improve for you soon.

Well, as it's the 11th, it's part 2 of my 'divide the month into 3 with things to do in each third'. Needless to say, I didn't quite manage all the things in my first 1/3 so they have carried over. This third includes an Ald1 shop, a funeral, prizegiving, make jam labels, mark assessments, cancel dd's hospital appt, return toy, take photos + post fins and booties, write and address 10 Christmas cards (and don't send any that can go by email), check out greenmetropolis.com. Peasy!

  • Hello everyone

MrsGSR thanks so much for the link. That is just what I've been looking for as gluten free cookbooks are so expensive. I will definitely be trying the lemon drizzle cake.

Spent today on kids activities today so still a SFD. I also managed to get rid of a bag of material my Auntie gave me. I've already got more than enough in my stash so I've given it to a lady at my dressmaking class . Hopefully while DS is at preschool tomorrow I can have a declutter and I've also got a lady picking up a rug so that's another £4 in the pot.

I've decided that to keep me on the straight and narrow when I'm not on here, I'm going to put a picture of a new house we want to buy when we are debt free on the fridge and in my purse. Hopefully this will stop me from spending on silly things especially when I've been 'persuaded' by DH

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Just checking in before bed.
I've had SFD 10 so pleased with that. Dinner was a revelation and included leftover, sour cream, one mushroom, a shallot, some cauliflower from last weeks Sunday lunch and reduced spring greens from yesterday. Oh and some bacon offcuts and chicken breasts and potatoes. Made a fairly decent dinner. Proud. Almost like a Masterchef mystery box challenge.

Morning - just two SFDs to report - hopefully another two coming up today and tmoz. Monthly budget worked out now so will be ready to put it into action for this coming payday. Have been lazy and not put anything on eBAy - in fact car still full of stuff from my old house as have nowhere to put it in new one. Work exhausting as always but have interview for new job on Thursday so hopeful for a different challenge.
Feeling a bit down as have not actually made any difference to my debt as yet - just defined it more accurately.
However going to drink my tea now, snap out of it and wish you all happy SFD. X
To improve my mood I've made a payment on a credit card of £60 - not much but moves me a hundred lower and makes me feel better.
    1 debt in 100 days £48.43/£374 - over 10% paid!

    Stash busting 3/20 projects completed

    Debt: [STRIKE]£22,025[/STRIKE] ] £21271 debt free date Oct 2016.
  • Morning all, I'm afraid I've lost my mojo a little bit, a week away in London was too tempting and took its toll. I'm going to bow out gracefully and lurk from the sidelines until I'm big and brave enough to take on the challenge for real! Good luck everyone, you really are very hardcore!! :-)

    Good morning!

Managed to keep my wallet shut yesterday at work although it was really hard. Not ha a treat at work for ages but then thought i don't want to ruin an SfD for a 5 min fix. Today should be number 10. Lunch and loads of snacks (mainly fruit) are packed packed and the mince sauce for lasagne for tea is defrosting. Glad it's not monday anymore. Oh and finished off second sock monkey last night and some scrabble coasters for xmas presents, will post pictures later

Hope everybody has a good day

How are you today? I am hoping for another SFD although I do need fuel which will be allowed. I haven't put any in yet this month having filled up at the end of last month. It has lasted pretty well. I will probably put about £40 in today on my debit card as I gave mum £40 cash the other day for pocket money (she is in a care home) and this will be reimbursed into my bank account. I am trying to manage my day to day spends in cash and not use my debit card as a rule.

I have a couple of Avon deliveries to make and H still owes me his 'board' from last weekend so once paid, that will help a lot. For now though, there isn't much cash left. There will be no more food shopping until he has paid but then we don't need much apart from Milk. If H doesn't pick any up and we run out, I will have to spend.. one thing we can't live without is milk!

I made veg and chick pea curry last night and there is enough left for tonight too so tea is already sorted. Just need to cook some rice and get 3 value pittas out of the freezer!

Might take M to the library after school today and have books to return which are overdue. I am so rubbish with library books! Luckily they are all on M's ticket so there shouldn't be any fines. What I could do with the money I have spent on library fines over the years (sigh). Stupid really, but then it helps the library to buy more books (tries to make self feel better).

I have signed up to a few Mystery Shopping sites over the last couple of days. I haven't done it before but it sounds like something I could do. I particularly like the idea of the restaurant ones where you basically get a meal out for free - often with a friend :) Fingers crossed I get approved and get some jobs in my area. I have had confirmation from one company up to now but they only have jobs with a bank where yo apply for a loan and record the visit on tape which I don't fancy (and don't have the equipment for). I don't want to be video or audio recording yet! One step at a time.

No more Ebay sales yet but I still have a few things listed. I need to get my Avon books dropped off to generate some pre Christmas orders. In fact I will go and type my notes ready right now (I tend to pop a note in saying when I will collect the book and when the order will be delivered with my contact details). I have 10 minutes before I need to wake up M for school.

    Have a good day.

    Morning, checking in for today.
Within half an hour of being up this morning I suddenly get a pain in my neck and shoulder, for no reason really but it's incredibly painful and I have to do the school take DS swimming and then DD to ballet this afternoon. Don't think I'm going to manage it.
What with this, the miserable, cold and damp weather and my messy carpets I'm feeling quite down, stupid really.
Still today will be a SFD, number 11, tea is already planned and cooked (jacket potatoes cooked in the oven last night and will be microwaved later)
