Just Say NOvember 2013!!!

Hi MrsGSR and NSK
I have been doing Avon since March 2012. I don't make much money to be honest but there is money to be made, I just don't have enough time to devote to it.
Often I just make enough to cover my purchases but am trying to reign myself in with that. This month I will be sticking to the £10 toilettrie budget - £5 spent so far.
I do have a huge stash of stock so shouldn't need to buy anything really for ages but when new things come out, you feel obliged to try them out so you can answer questions and you do get demo products cheap and can count them as expenses for tax.
I have a 'territory' of streets to canvass but tend to only go to the people who have bought previously and then don't get round them all every campaign. When my husband was a student, I had more time to go round but now he is working longer hours and I changed my hours at work to school hours to drop and pick M at school so don't have much free time when I am not with M. I have dropped back to 4 days now (was doing 5 for a while) so am trying to get round everyone this time as pre christmas is a good time for orders. Friends also buy and I get a few orders from work too.
I tend to use my car a fair bit but you could do it without. I get orders from family and friends and you can ask for territory within walking distance, it just depends what is available. Delivery time is harder as you may need to do a few trips or get a bag on wheels! With a motorbike you'd be fine Kat!
Still not spent anything today so looking like a SFD all being well!'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'0 -

I honestly don't think I will make 25 SFDs this month, 20 was easier but 25 in a 30 month is hard.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -

Same here - it's kind of what's made me give in because I know I can't do it, what with a toddler in the house and only a mini fridgeIf the food shopping could be included if it was within the pre-declared budget it would be a lot easier IMO. Does anyone know if there is a monthly challenge along these lines?
I can see that it works for others though so well done!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Well admittedly this month is extremely hardcore, usually it's only about 20 SFDs. The aim is just to plan ahead despite being busy, i.e. buy 4 or 8 pints at the start (if you can store them that is) and know how many sandwiches you need to make. Of course not everything goes to plan and we need to buy top ups. But the aim is to avoid them as many of us don't just come out of the shop with the milk but also snacks, and a bottle of pop etc and other items we think we need rather than make do. I work full time and have a toddler. It's hard and I "fail" occasionally but it makes me thinks twice before spending even on food and use what I have in the house. Hence food counts as a spend as you don't tend to buy petrol or a bus fare willy nilly but as you really need it to get to work. I like the strictness because even if I can't achieve everything and "break" some rules it makes me try really hard. And I need the crack of the whip sometimes :rotfl:

So just aim for 20 then. I am not going to come out and bash any of you for following so close to the letter with everything else... it's the taking part and lessons learned that are more important. That goes for everybody - and yes it is bl**dy hard!...:rotfl:..Thankfully I left my wallet at home...:)“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Re: the SFD Challenge... I think this thread is all about clearing debt fast. Kat doesn't take any prisoners lol... but then she gets results... Have you seen how much debt she has cleared??? I haven't religiously stuck on target and have fallen off the wagon a few times... and as a result I've had to push my DebtFreeDate back a year. I think consider what your goals are and how much you want to clear... Know you may have to make sacrifices otherwise what's the point... but - it's the spirit of the thread that's important. Take part as best you can... nobody will ask any more of you than that!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Hi JJL
I don't usually manage all the SFD's either but am doing better with it so far this month. I really appreciate the concept and find it helps. I find it can be so tempting to pop for bread or milk and accidentally spend £20!'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'0 -
Abundant1972 couldn't agree more at the end of the day it's the debt that matters. Following Kats shiny example and trying to keep off her naughty step.
