  • Hello everyone,sorry I've been AWOL for a few days. Thursday, Friday adn today were not SFD's but yesterday was, so that's 6 in total for the month which only leaves me 1 more spend day this month so it's unlikely I will make my total but I will try for ans many as possible.

    Lunch to work total is 6/24 which is every day I've worked this month so doing well with this.

    I have my 20 items to give to charity I just need to drop them in some day.

    Doing well on the money making from too, have made £81 so far through over time and will hopefully be doing alot more through the rest of the month, also has a bag of clothes to take for recycling, working on Swah=gbucks and hop to be able to enough enough points to get paypal payment, have loads of stuff for ebay too but don't know if I will get a chance to list these with overtime but will try.

    Really enjoying this challenge, I paid £426.95 0ff my simpy be account this month, have another £600 to pay and hoping to do that at the end of this month.:rotfl:

    Hello Chickadees... I am still at work! 3 hours to go and counting! Cannot wait to get out of here. Few more bits and bobs occured today to make me realise if I don't get the sabbatical I want I will resign.... ooooooh scary!!!! Not really cause I have no intention of coming back to the same job anyway....:rotfl:

    I have had a super boring weekend so I have nothing more to report either. I do need to bake though so I think I know what I will be doing after work tomorrow.....

    See you all again soon.... Oh and who is after a hoover...? Have you tried freecycle.. no expensive Dyson's you here me....:rotfl:

    Me. And no I haven't. I've had too many bad experiences with them and the spamming of emails drove me potty!:eek: I've looked into reconditioned ones also but because I can get a massive discount it actually works out cheaper to get it new. BUT I'm using my handheld VC till the end of the month.

    I must be crazy.:rotfl:

  • :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Men!!!!

    I have spent most of the weekend in my tatty old kitchen trying to make lovely things for my husband which is bloody hard work when he can only eat gluten free stuff. Only to be told that it's either too hard or too dry. I tried it myself and actually thought it tasted ok....it just doesn't think that his stuff takes soooo long and can be so hard to get it right and soooo bloody expensive.

    <AND BREATHE>

    He has no idea what I do in this house and feel like jacking it all in, why do I bother. I just want to cry (well actually I am):o
  • sorry guys, just didn't know who to vent to. It's too late now to phone my Mum. I just feel that I have spent all my weekend in the kitchen and tidying up after everyone, all for nothing.

    big hugs mrsbrownbear :grouphug:

    i get this a lot from my OH - spend hours making stuff and he has one bite and then says how horrible it is. Sometimes I think our men (OHs) don't realise that we put our whole hearts into doing things for them that to them might look silly or mundane.

    Take a nice deep breathe, can you spend some time having a nice bath or reading a book in bed to give him a chance to realise that his words hurt you? Keep going!

    keep your chin up lovely and remember a good cry is healthy so don't be ashamed of it!

    This would INFURIATE ME!!! I know you love your OH but perhaps tell him to start sorting his own food for a week - make his own bread, cakes, muffins.. Find his own sauces that are gluten free and see how he fares.... How annoying for you....:mad::mad::mad:

    And CR tell him to get in the kitchen and make you something OR start serving him bland ready meals... can he actually cook at all?? I am so angry for both of you it's unreal...

    I'd soon have words with both of them for you!!!!:mad::mad::mad:
    “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".
  • Hi all,

    Fmess - well done on the debt reduction!

    MrsBrownBear - sounds like you should let your OH sort out his own food for a week? Or will that result in a blow. Grocery budget? At any rate being taken for granted is not on!

    I've clocked up SFD 7 today though should have been 8 had I left the shops alone yesterday. Alas I went in for the weetabix my local shop didn't have in stock on Thursday only to come out with quite a few thinks more. If anything it really brought home the point of SFD - to stay away from the shops as my resolve weakens so quickly. To too it all off I forgot to use my loyalty card so didn't even get points for my overspend. Will update again tomorrow.

    Nite nite all
    Finally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!

    Well done you on making him gluten free stuff, that is so kind. You are right, gf stuff is so hard to get right but he should appreciate your efforts even if he didn't love them. I would love them!!!! (Not that this helps)

    I honestly think men are sent to try us! Even on a good day mine has the no tact and is bone idle! Today has been a good day as he managed his one and only chore of cooking dinner :rotfl:
