Booked five more mystery shops for this week, providing they all go well that'll net another £47 for the kitty. Today should be a SFD for me, but OH will need to get bread and fruit. We might need to get a curtain rail for the curtains I have made for the playroom too, but not today.

This week is a busy one but I'll get mileage from work and a dinner paid for as well. It was meant to be one of my two nights out, but work have said I can claim £12.50 towards it as it is 'networking'. I was planning on only spending £15 anyway, so hopefully I can get away with just spending the £12.50 and claim another SFD.

That's all I've got to report. Sorry for being so boring :/

    Petrol 0/£67.50
    Groceries £73.65/£200
    'Outings' 0/£30
    Food Bank 0/£3

    Debt-free and Proud!
Checking in for today. Done 3 hours overtime at time and a half and signed up for 3 hours next Sunday so that's about £59.96 in total, I've made £29.84 on ebay so thats £89.80 extra made! So pleased and I think I could clock up a bit more overtime too. This will pay off CC1! Whoop! If I did 7 hours (paying time and a half) for the next 6 weeks I could pay off CC2 a lot sooner than my target on April.
I, myself would then be debt free and it would be DH who would still need to pay off his. I have said I will help him with this but he said no. *sigh* still some work to do here.

  • Oooooh! Everyone is doing so well with their Just say NOvember challenge! well done everyone so far!!! :T:T:T:T

It's SFD #6 for me today and don't have plans for any more spends until Thursday when we will need to top up our Oystercards to get to the train station and then we are off to the in-laws for a few days - 100 quid put aside for this and also 500 put aside for the MOT on the car while we're there!:eek:

I always use today as a day for reflection being Remembrance Sunday so like to remember all the people I have loved and lost so keeping all those in mind while going about and giving the flat a good tidy up.

Going to try and do some baking soon - and 1 more round of washing to do and then its ALL done! phew! :j Then going to try something new - butternut squash lasagne for supper! Fingers crossed it tastes good!

BTW - Happy Birthday to all the birthday folk on the challenge! :bdaycake:

PS - everything survived the wash after discovering the moths! and mothballs are in the post!

    xx

    Afternoon all,

I had to do a quick post as I just realised that the item I sold today (made £9.41) means that I was only a few pounds away from getting my debt under £13000. So I added a little bit more from the few pounds I had left as my contingency and I paid £11 off my ccard meaning that I now only have £12999.97 debt :)

I am so pleased with this! I know I still have lots of debt but in the summer it was nearly £15000. I then shuffled some money around and used my small savings pot to get my debt down to the starting figure in my signature £13839. And now its below £13000.

Yay can't wait for payday so I can pay off some more money!! :)

Oh and had SFD number 6 :)

  • hi everyone

sorry i haven't posted for a while been really busy with work:eek: , i am off Wednesday/Thursday so hopefully I can do a proper post with everything i have done :j

Keep up the good work everyone,:)will check again on wednesday
  • i wanna be on the list someday hehe
  • Evening folks.

    Well today was a SFD :j That's no 6 :T

Hubby and son went for a walk and resisted calling in the pub! I went to see mum. Rest of the day has been spent, washing, drying, putting clothes away, cleaning out the ratties and doing general cooking/tidying. We did have a lazy morning though :)

Just finished dinner and waiting for the strictly results show to come on while having a glass of prosecco. I have just put the last bottle of white in the fridge although I think there is some bucks fizz type stuff left too if we get desperate next weekend. Was hoping not to buy anymore. Could do it if we just drink on weekends... Will try.

Tomorrow I will be at work so it should be a SFD. Need to go to the PO again but postage is covered by Ebay buyers so not really a spend. Sold a couple more things late last night and today :j

Anyone else watching strictly? We all voted for Patrick last night, wonder who will be in the dance off!

SFD for me here. Yesterday I took the children shopping and they spend a lot of their own money, saved to buy some specific things. They're learning some good habits at least - save before spending, plan and budget - all good stuff.

Car has to go to the garage tomorrow so after that I am intending to have a day at home to get things sorted and list a few things for people to buy!!
    Trying to keep in budget.

  • Back from weekend away, spent £83.16 out of £100 holiday budget and most of that was travel related costs so very pleased. Spends were split over friday, saturday and sunday so no more SFD's to report. Got homemade meals in freezer and frozen fruit and forzen veg so shouldn't need to go food shopping until friday so aiming for 4 SFD's in a row.

    SFD 5/25
    Lunch to work 5/18
    Food £46.93/£100
    Foodbank £0/£3
    Moneymade £0.42/£80
