fmess what co was it you signed up for and did the test?
have a look at the mystery shopping thread on here, first few posts give you all the info you need to get started. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4734623
it also lists companies you can join. whatever you do, do not pay to join any. depending on where you live you will prob need to register with quite a few to get jobs. up to you how much you are prepared to travel. i always struggled to get a full day where i live so used to go to local town (you can claim mileage for tax relief)
you will need to pay tax but its really straightforward.
recommend if you have a smart phone you sign up to receive instant email alerts from the alert board where people post when jobs are available. most of the jobs are self allocate and most of the best ones go quite quickly so worth doing. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3532457
suggest you try someone like gap or market force to start with as they have lots of jobs, most of which are quite simple. they pay rubbish though! grassroots is my favourite.
let me know if you have any questions!
also just spotted when looking for above link pinecone are looking for new people and pay £3 per survey- https://www.pineconeresearch.co.uk/Signup/Signup_Form.aspx:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Morning - sorry I missed posting yesterday but I've had two speedy days - shopping on Friday night and a wedding yesterday. Should be a SFD today though. Have purchased and given food to food bank and have chased up new bank account and been promised £100 on 19th. Am going to put stuff on eBay today and hope to earn more from that. Got a balance on the money I owe my mum and dad and it's £600 less than I thought - celebration time... However the edge is slightly taken off as I should really have known this and it is a reflection on the cavalier way I deal with my finances. I will improve though and appreciate the support given by you lot - I am going to do a spreadsheet today and work out all my expenses. I've done it on budget brain to see where I am currently but this doesn't ever tie up with the real state my finances. I'm off to sort my budget out....

Good Morning!
Lovely sunny day here and the washing is thawing now (left it out overnight). Today will be SFD number 8 and I'm in a really good mood today. I'll be sending out loads of happy thoughts and hope it rubs off.
Done painting for today, on to the cleaning. The more doors i paint in the kitchen the grubbier the rest looks. So i guess I'll spend my next maternity leave decorating too, lol.
Today we'll have HM chicken pie for tea, not made itfor ages.

Sun dinner - mash, cabbage, chicken/quorn, gravy.
Mon dinner - curry with chickpeas and veg with rice and wraps
Tues dinner - Pasta with tomato and mushroom sauce
Wed dinner - Soup or Jacket with cheese and beans/curry
Thurs dinner - leftovers (M at a friends) and there will be something left from previous days.
Fri dinner - Pizza for M and his dad, I am eating out :-)
Sat lunch - soup or eggs
Sat dinner - enchiladas made with quorn.
My lunches will be crackers with cheese triangles, fruit and cup a soups.
Hopefully a SFD today and some more stuff to list on eBay. Off to mums later. Happy Sunday x'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'0 -
Morning all!! I've got a bit of time free this morning so have made a brew and am going to check out some of the diaries for a bit of inspiration - I WILL keep going with this!
Have listed some baby stuff on the local baby fb site, will list non-baby stuff later when more people are probably awake
SFD here, some baking and a little walk later wrapped up with DH and DS planned.
daisystar I do surveys too but usually only manage to do them on Friday night, during the weekend or in the holidays. The rest of the week is usually manic with planning and marking. Did you used to teach primary or secondary?
Yep Fmess it gets a bit manic doesn't it, and I found there were far fewer surveys available on weekends so never really got much. I was mainly primary but also some special secondary too, what about you?Debt Oct '13 - [STRIKE]£44,076[/STRIKE] £41,578 5.7% cleared0 -
MrsBrownBear I'm in this situation with DH too. His phone is constantly going, he answers his work emails ALL the time and its a real struggle for him to manage to take all his annual leave. I try to support as best I can do, like you, but sometimes it gets a bit much doesn't it?
Daisystar
Hi Daisystar
Thanks for replying - it's so hard isn't it. He didn't come home still 3pm yesterday and looks shattered. He's just pop out with DS to take his parents to the airport which is about 35 miles away. Going to do a chicken roast dinner for him today for when he gets back and a gluten-free bread and butter pudding with custard (one of his favourites). I feel sometimes, all I am trying to do is impress him with doing things around the house and cooking his favourite meals - sometimes it does go un-noticed and feel lonely.

Hi Everybody,
I wish I had time for this challenge. I was taking part in the October challenge but got so busy with work, etc, I didn't have time to post. I just wanted to wish everyone luck with the budgeting and spend free days.
I will join up for the final push in December.

hey all
NSK and apple muncher I haven't done tutoring yet but hoping to do some between Jan and Jun as kids start to focus on the summer exams. Usually there are a few kids asking at school so going to seize any opportunities this year.
clippy it was Gap I signed up with and it was the Golden Arches company I failed the test for. Going to try another one later but this time I'm going to lock myself away so OH and dogs don't distract me! Thanks for the links
daisytar I'm a secondary teacher, mainly biology with a bit of general science for the younger years. I also find there are fewer surveys on the weekends so usually end up downloading apps or watching videos to earn the points.
Hoping for SFD today, doing work this afternoon and a bit of dog walking so no reason to spendalso had an item sell on eBay, which should leave me with £8ish after fees
