Today remained a SFD. Went to Tesco armed with loads of vouchers and coupons. Bought things we needed anyway but where either on offer or cheaper than somewhere else. As i paid for it without spending a real penny it safed my SFD. Tomorrow i'll have a spend day as I will do the rest of the weekly shop in Aldi.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

My first NSD today - made dinner out of left overs as hols end tomorrow and need to clear the larder here.
Have some things which my cousin has offered my daughter which she may not need to go towards charity and have committed to moving bank accounts (intended to anyway) and am hopeful that £100 will come out of that. Will this count for the £80 made - perhaps it could but should try for more too?
Need to clear my house this week (renting it out) so bound to find more things for charity/ sale.
Have been informing utility companies of move and am hopeful that I might have overpaid something.
Am going to start making xmas pressies this weekend so that I can save some money over Xmas.
Thanks for the challenge Kat - it's really made me think.1 debt in 100 days £48.43/£374 - over 10% paid!

Ok day 1 and not a sfd as I had some Boots vouchers I needed to use up which with my discount reduced a present for 2 of my daughters from 24.99 to 17.33.Lent my Dad 20-can't say no to my parents as they do help out a lot with dinners for the kids and things-Mum gave me a huge bag of cooking apples and fed us all dinner today.Spent 13.56 in Lidl-they have those silver car windscreen protectors for 2.99-thinking that may help save fuel as the car won't need to be idling for 10 minutes in the morning to warm up and defrost.
So-update

Tomorrow will also be a spend day as I need to get diesel and plan a shop as I have a voucher for money off.Mostly it will be toilet paper and washing powder as it's household things I am low on, not so much the food.I also need to pay the majority of this week's bills , apart from the ones that I will pay when I get money on Tuesday aaaaaarrrggghghh it's so complicated!!And reduces the days I can have a no spend day.
Oh I forgot to ask-is paying bills and nothing else a spend day or a non spend day?I know it sounds stupid but if they're budgeted for and nothing else is spent on that day what does that count as?Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

OH just told me that he put the heating on for an hour today. I had hoped that we could last until December the 1st with just the wood burner. Still one day out of 30 isn't bad. The thing is he works from home and I'm in an office, so he is the one affected if the house is too cold. I'm including the days with no heating in the challenge, just in case this doesn't make any sense to anyone.

Evening fellow NOvemberers
How was day 1? I worked the nightshift so spending most of the afternoon in bed made my first SFD quite easy
My budgets for the month have been set and all my money transferred and best of all, I made the final payment to my credit card :j Not really too exciting as I still have another £20k of debt to wade through, but 390 days ago I set upon a 450 day challenge to clear 6 overdrafts/credit cards totalling £9107.25 (plus monthly interest and lots of associated costs!!) by 31 December 2013. Today I made the final payment, leaving the path clear to tackle the remaining debt with a 2 month head start
So, the NOvember budgets....
SFD: 1/25
Food: £0/£100
Petrol: £0/£50
Misc: 0/£100

Did I forget anything?
Just about to taste some slow cooker curried veg and lentils and veg in front of the telly...well, I say tell, I mean iPlayer - won't buy a telly til I'm debt free!
So, a good start to NOvember for me...hope the next 29 days are as much fun!0 -
Right so first official day today! Took a huge bag of stuff to the charity shop so that's that box ticked.
Also went to the bank to withdraw money for children's activities and put it into pots or envelopes.
Fireworks display tomorrow and the money is already on the side for it.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
First nsd for me today! :j
V pleased as we went to the cinema, swimming and fireworks! Made the boys buy glow stick things from their pocket money and one decided to save the money instead. Taking after my frugal ways I think!
One irritation though - the student who was booked in for Monday onwards for a month has just cancelled - grrrr. I had another enquiry from someone about it too. Never mind, I'm sure someone else will come along.
Got a spendy day tomorrow at my friends wedding but all budgeted for!
Evening in front of the telly now after getting boys to bed!Oct grocery budget £368.40 / 6000
