JCD, You may want to check out zooplus for cat food. I buy canned organic food for my three moggies, and it's only 20p per 100g... If you're buying IAMS pouches at ASDA for Babes, it's 46p per 100g, so you'll save more than half if the food agrees with her. (Be sure to store leftovers in another container in the fridge though, NOT in the tin.)

You do have to pay £2.90 for shipping if your order is under £29, BUT you get £3 off your first order. Also if you go through quidco, you'll get another 5% back.

If you have to re-arrange your body clock to account for night working then that is fine - a different matter altogether!

What was happening before is that you just weren't getting any sleep - not healthy!

Well, the first night is out of the way, and if you got £24 out of it then that is pretty good. I hope you are able to do this enough to get you out of the hole. All respect to you - I am too much of a prude to be able to do this :o Wouldn't even know what they were talking about :rotfl:
Och my sleeping pattern has gone to pot. I'm stressed out about all sorts at the moment and getting anxiety headaches (not to mention yet another month with no show from 'auntie flo' thanks to stressing). After my first night I cried a wee bit and felt horrid. I told my BF I dont want to carry on doing it because I love him, it just doesn't feel right that I'm doing this. But, the debts are still mounting, intrest and all....so I might have to continue.

Hello Joanne, how are you doing?

I hope the work's going well. I really admire your attitude, as I'm sure that work could be quite depressing at times. I hope it isn't getting to you. Think of the money!
Unfortunatly it has gotten to me, but I'll need to reconsider what I'm doing. If i can get through this, I'll get through anything. Thanks hon x.

hello dear sorry your having a rough time.
sorry if others have already suggested it but i do alot of mystery shopping and i really enjoy it now!
i use retaileyes.co.uk and grassroots i find i can top my money up by about £50 per month - not much but better than nothing.
It also gets you out of the house a bit.
colleges are now trying to persuade us all to join have a think about attendind into courses its a great way of meeting people as well

    Keep well
P.s. in debt for about £11000
I'll make a point of revisiting thoose sites, Maz. Mystery shopping would be grand as it would get be out from theese four walls. I feel pretty bad that I'm moping around with my debt worries when there are folk in more debt then me, but that's what DFW is all about, help and support. We'll lean on each other :) x

Thanks for the heads up about zooplus, I'll be sure to start buying from them once I've saved for a few weeks, I can't quite afford £29 for anything in one lump purchase at the moment, and I'll use quidco too. Thanks again hon x

You're right Hypno, i have been lurking. General lethargy and not feeling good (getting a bit depressed truth be told) have slowed me down quite a bit. I've loads of family issues to worry about and my debts don't even begin to compare to thoose. I'll be back to my normal chirpy self once this spell passes (usually takes a week or two, I'm so used to them now). I'm still reading the various threads and such and still proud of how well everyone is getting on, hopefully I'll join in again shortly x

Thanks for the update - was worrying about you!

I'm sorry to hear you are down, and feeling angry that such a lovely, bright, resourceful person as you obviously are has to resort to yukky work to pay fof debts. If I had a job to give out I'd give it to you!

Hope your low spell passes soon Joanne, keep posting if we can cheer you up or just offer support

So that's the phone bill paid (for last month, caught up on it at last), went to asda and did another fortnights food shopping of the green and white label variety and picked up a few bits and pieces for myself too. I'm at the point now where I don't even see anything in adsa which isn't the green and white label sort of product. I mean, I know they're there, but I've trained myself for so long to buy as cheaply as possible, it's like I go shopping with blinkers on.

Went to the pound shop for shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and loo roll and picked up a comb for the cats which is better than the one I have already. They're casting fur like crazy and it's getting everywhere, the new comb should help somewhat. When I was in asda I bought a hair dye for myself. I know it's a little luxuary, but I needed it so badly. I've got three inches of shining silver roots all over my head and the rest of my hair is a washed out red. If I'm to be taken seriously at any interviews (or even just in general) I can't go on looking so unkept.

I wanted to get the local bus home which takes me to the corner of my street, but with six heavy bags of shopping I could barely manage to walk. There was an offer on melons in adsa, three diferent types for 50p each, so I grabbed three, a bag of apples, some bananas and a string of onions. Hopefully a tiny more bit of fruit in my system will help sort out the emotional collywobbles. I jumped a taxi home.

With my sister away on holiday for a fortnight I'm helping my mum look after the dog whilst she works backshifts for the bank. I take him his evening walk and make his dinner for him, this should also help me shake off the feeling of uselessness I've been getting lately. Also, she had a viewing at her house on monday, the viewers sent around a surveyor today and they've decided to buy my mums house. So I'm pleased for her, she's better off without that house, even if there are alot of memories tied up there, it's a good way to get away from the bad memories and start afresh. I'm looking to get a few of my friends together to go down to the house when my mum is at work one night and re-paint all the walls, ceillings, plaster and do general little odd jobs. She's been stressing about not getting it all done on time, I'll do my best to help her out.

There's not much more I can think of at the moment, I'm still feeling a bit blank. But I'm still here watching over you guys and reading up on how well everyone is doing. You're all amazing, thanks for being a support to me, even if you don't know it.

    Joanne x

Hi JCD can I just say that I am a complete newbie to the whole MSE way of thinknig and have just been lurking as I don't really have the confidence to post. I wish you all the best and with an attitude and fighting spirit like your I'm sure you'll come out the other side of your problems:T

Thank you so much for your post, baxgttdi. It's comments like theese which have helped me keep going. You'll soon find that the support and comfort given by other folk on MSE and the debt free wannabe help lift you up when things seem like they're getting tough. Your post has given me a boost, and I thank you very much for that. All the best with getting yourself sorted too.
p.s don't be shy to post in DFW, this forum is full of wonderfull people whithout whom I'd be far worse off than I am now.
