Better that than a dead horse, anyway!

If I did find a dead horse down the back of the radator I'd be chuffed to bits! What with being a self taught 'trainee' taxidermist :rotfl:

But yeah, thank god that problem was dealt with *boak*

My jobseekers has ben paid earlier than expected! WOO!

So, I paid some bits and bobs, went back to the pound shop for another bag of Iams for babes, and 4 bags for clio (Adult +1, plus her own container for her biscuits) Asda for cat litter and I saw a lovley little pair of shoes on sale in Peacocks for £5, so I thought I needed a wee treat and bought them. When I got to the till I was told they were reduced further to £3! So with the remaining £2 saved from the shoes I bought three earings sets in International, reduced to 75p per set or three for £1.50. Just the pick me up I needed. :j I was out with my sister after my signing today, to help her shop for her final year school uniform. I saw loads of pretty things that I really wanted but in every shop I glared at the price and would loudly proclaim when I saw the same item much cheaper in another store. I've got MSE on the brain!

I was awoken this morning at 8.30 with someone chapping my door, I rolled over and tried to sleep more. The chapping turned into banging then " Excuse me Miss, It's scottish power here to install your payment meter. could you answer the door please!". I thought they weren't due untill the 7th and blew up on the chap when I answered. I fealt awfull straight away because the guy is only doing his job, so I appologised over and over. He took it well, which is a shame really. Aren't we all just trying to make a living? It's not right to be nasty to folk who are just doing their job to pay their bills. Anyway, that's the meter in pre loaded with £10 (I think this is because I'm on benefits, he asked to see my book). I can't remember word for word what the chap said, but I'm roughly £1 odds a week for rental of the machine and 40% of any money I put into it is taken off as debt repayment. There's a function that lets me see my current debt as I pay it back. This'll come in handy and help spur me on.

I think that's all I have to update with for now.

Yeah, it was a heck of a relief! I'm wearing the new shoes to go see my boyfriend tomorow :heart2:

Righty! It's kick up the @rse time now!!
With the payment meter installed I can see that I am in debt of £350 for electricity. Between now and the last day in August I'm going to try my best to clear as much of that as humanly possible. For now I've got loads of housework to do and whilst doing so I'll be putting things for Ebay in a drawer of the tall-boy in the bedroom. The charity shop I used to work in has all books on 3 for £1, so I'll go down and wade through thoose picking out all the education ones since it's almost back to school time up here then list thoose on Ebay too.
My pay off the electricity challenge
    28 days. 3rd August - 31st August.
    £350!

Thanks hon! My friend (the person who trained me as assistant manager in the shop) is finishing up work there tomorow. I've sent her a text telling her what I'm after and she says she's got BOXES of educational books that were handed in at the beginning of summer break. So I'll not have any problems getting my hands on them.

I'm sorry I've not commented on your thread much at all, what with things geting on top of me and my LBM light flickering on and off I've been trying to stay away from gibbering too much and concentrate on things at home. I still check in and read how everyone is doing though, so don't think I've gone forgetting about y'all. xx

Hey, no worries about my thread! I was just worried when I didn't see you around!

I am sure that the educational books on ebay will do really well.

Right, best go and pick up DD from a party. That girl has a far better social life than I do. TIS NOT FAIR!!!! Catch up later x

I've been home for about two hours now and thought I'd just update the thread before heaing to bed (if only so the electicity money doesn't go down so quickly).

It's a new week and since having a chat with the BF I feel a tiny bit more positive about things. Hopefully this will help in my challenge to clear the electricity bill.

I'll be ebaying today and sorting books for Amazon along with anything else that can be done to make and extra £ or two to get rid of this debt. I'm aiming for at least £50 through ebay sales, I'll keep the thread updated.
