Not bad today hon, I've got alot of things listed for sale all over the place and am just waiting for things to start moving. I'm looking forward to making progress with my electricity bill, here's hoping it's sooner rather than later.
How are you anyhoo? Healing up well I hope? xDebt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:

Righty, so far I've avoided the deamon Fee-bay and opted to list items I have for sale on a live journal community. Upsides are no listing and final value fees, the slight downside is folk will haggle he hind legs off you or ask if you fancy trading items. Anyway, I have 33 items up for grabs and if they all sell (which they won't do first time around) I'd stand to make £220.50 before taking off postage costs. I'll be digging out everything to list there and will quite easily have £300 worth of items for sale. Another upside is you can repost your items a couple of times a week and as I said earlier, there's no charge. Brilliant.
I did something silly today, I bought milk. Joanne has been drinking coffee and is now wired to the moon. The good thing is that I've a crazy itch to get cleaning in this flat again, so I'll do that while I can still stand as it's bin collection day today. *awaits a slap from hypno for not drinking the decaf***~~Bin collection day also means Urban Scavenging day~~**
On one of my scavenging walks early on a thursday morn some time ago, I found a 1950's style telephone table-seat. You know, the ones you have in the hallway for the phone and yellow pages. Unfortunatly it had been raining and I was worried about the possibilities of ringworm, so left it be.
*ponders going for a walk*
I'll be popping into town today to pick up the bits and bobs I want from the charity shop. I spied some 'vintage' 1980's heels which would sell well on the LJ community, and the shop currently have all their footwear for £1 as they're so over run with donations.
I was taking part in the change jar challenge but have decided to pull out of it and do my own. I had a large 5L bottle I was popping change into, but because it was see through the lack of change within was making me annoyed. So I've taken 3 empty value bottles of bleach (washed out, of course), cut slots in, and wrote 1P, 2p, 5p on them. They're now on the wall mounted shoe boxes in the hall so when I come home the first thing I do is go through my purse and take out the change. Being white plastic I can't see how much is in them, which is good.
Hmm, that's about all for now. Time to go clean clean, find find.

:rotfl: consider yourself well and truly slapped young lady :rotfl:
Good luck with the retro shoes hunt - I am sure you can make some good profit there, and good luck with the scavenge elsewhere.
The bleach bottle money boxes sound interesting! Perhaps you could consider marketing the idea for kitchen money boxes!!
Have a great day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
:rotfl: HA! I knew you'd see that post!
My flat is getting out of controll, it's like the spirit of martin has physically moved in. I've got change bottles in the hall, a jar for old buttons in the bedroom, an A4 plastic sleeve for vouchers in the kitchen and drawers in the bedroom literally HEAVING with things to be sold.
No body told me being a DFW was so blooming exhausting!
I love this website :heart2:

:rotfl: Being a DFW does take over! Before I discovered this site, I was a normal human being, able to talk about things like the weather and the state of the political environment. Now all I can talk about is bank charges, overpayments (or lack of) stardrops and flylady :rotfl:
Would I change it though.....would I heck!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
WOO HOO! Just made my first sale on the LJ community, granted it was only £3, and about £1 of that is postage, but I'm adding it to my August Challenge anyway :j
