Afternoon all
Dried one load of clothes and ALL my throws, it's sunny here and blowing a gale. The hardest part was keeping it on the line - and having to keep going out to unwrap it!
All folded and put away now.
Remembered to vacuum the stairs today, dusted and vacuumed living room, vacuumed hallway and kitchen.
S & S'd kitchen and bathroom.
Polished and vacuumed all bedrooms (changed bedding yesterday) and vacuumed them and landing. My bedroom window/sill etc got cleaned on Sunday when I had the curtains down for washing.
Window cleaner came today so I've finally got rid of the bird poo on the bedroom window (it was too far over to reach from inside). Wonder how long it will be till another one decorates my window...
Lunch cooking now.0 -
Back from puppy sitting, she was as good as gold. Stopped in at B&Q and got some paint for doing the dining room - woohoooo the excitment. Have pretty much decided on the carpet for in there as well.
Discovered a flaw in the plan to do any washing, don't have any washing powder.
I suppose I should actually do something as I haven't actually done anything today.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Not got a great deal done. Sad day today our eldest dog has passed away this morning. The vet and nurse came, it was very peaceful and all the family were here. Very upsetting but the kindest thing to do because he was starting to struggle. Feel like I am just floating around at the moment and could just curl up in bed for the afternoon but as youngest son is travelling up to Manchester to fly off to Egypt tomorrow no chance of that. Last lot of his washing just drying, one pair of jeans to turn up and keep asking him to go an get his inhaler prescription made out. At least its a distraction for us all.
Hopefully will be able to start anew tomorrow. Have a good day all:wave:0 -

katherinedrex ... my heart goes out to you. After over 30 years of dog ownership - and the family always had dogs before that - I know it doesn't get any easier. Words cant help, but know that my thoughts are with you....0

Katherinedrex - I am so sorry about your dog. It is losing a member of your family. Everyone grieves differently, but allow yourself a moment to grieve in your own way. Hugs.
I would also like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has given me positive advice and support! Reading through, I feel like I have had a zillion hugs! :j
Well, this morning wasn't so good - one full 2 litre bottle of Diet Coke! And a shed load of chocolate to go with it! I am not impressed. However, I think I may be suffering from PMS (didn't before I had DS but my body has been a strange and unfamiliar thing since he arrived). My joints are seriously killing me as well. As for any house blessing (bought the flylady book, read it, put it on the shelf), that hasn't happened this morning at all. And I have got sucked into reading almost every thread on the site
However, I am feeling really, really positive at the moment, thanks to all the lovely support on here. So I am going to go and try and clear some space in the kitchen (Monday's level one). Then I will hopefully find the dratted can opener! DH (bless him) has bought me a new one. That is usually a guaranteed way of finding the old one :rotfl:
What is S&S ?
And after I have done at least something in the kitchen I am going to have a nice cup of tea, not fizzy rubbish at £1.59 per bottle!
DS is stirring, I have to go.
Thank you again.

What is S&S ?
Stands for Swish & swipe -basically a quick once over, in my case it's generallywith babywipes whilst you are in bathrroom/ kitchen or wherever.!!
I'm a newbie this week so we are starting this together. babysteps babysteps - perhaps we can support each other.

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.0 -

Sorry about your dog Katherine, I do know how it feels.
Gorgeous puppy Shirley, real cutie. But then, all puppies and kittens are cute - even the ugly ones. Much nicer than babies
Just did a bit of a fling round DH's bedside cabinet. Have to do it when he's not here or nothing actually gets thrown away. Why would you need an empty toilet roll middle, a 1989 diary (with nothing in it) and a sheet of newspaper with a space where something has been torn out?0
