Morning all. Well I do my best to clear clutter and he brings back more (DP I used to call him but HE will do today) Him and his friend have decided to take over the club he goes to on a Tuesday night, it was a case of either it closed or someone else did it. So what does that mean ? Well all the club stuff is in my house!!! Told him he's got 24 hours to find somewhere for it or I'll throw it outside :D Assertive!!! Aswell as the stuff he's asked me to sort out bank accounts etc for them as the club basically isn't ran properly and what money they do have (several hundred £) is being carted about in a cash box each week. So there is another job. Hmmm think I'll end up being club secretary at this rate as already been designing posters and letter heads etc. As if we didn't have enough to do!

Anyway, today, well it's got sunny outside WOHOO so first washload of the day is in, I'm desperate for clean clothes as have been making everyone elses a priority especially the boys stuff, so a load of mine and his in now. My bedroom is having to wait as he's still in bed but as soon as he surfaces I'm off to rip the sheets off.

Mermaid, great news, hope everything continues to go well :)
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200

Good Morning all, I hope you are all well and if not that you will be better soon.

I got up with good intentions this morning and loved walking into my clean living room and kitchen (which I have somehow managed to keep spotless), just need to keep my eyes closed for the rest of the house:eek: . I came on here to print off today's list and got a bit distracted by the hobnobs thread so now I have re-clean the kitchen before I can do anything on the list (which I have still not printed yet:o ).

I am really not looking forward to this job though (which is probably why I got so easily distracted) as I still have DD's crib up, although she has now moved into her own room and all of her clothes are stacked inside so will need to sort through everything and put stuff that is too small away somewhere?!

Unfortunately I cannot ebay any of it as my sister had her first DD 4 months before my DD was born so I have not had to buy anything for DD. The only problem is she lives in a very small flat so I have agreed to keep it as she is planning on having another child at some stage and may need it.

Also if I bag up some of DD's stuff I may find that there is some space to put my clothes away, rather than them living in the ironing basket!!:o

Will just finish my cuppa and have 1 more biccie :D and get busy. Wish me luck. If I am not back in a couple of hours send out a search party, I may be lost in the mountain of clothes.

Pigpen - Glad to see you're feeling better - do you need a kick to get going again? ;)

Oooh post.. that i can sort through.

I have sorted through the finances again and sorted the next months payments on most things so I haven't been entirely idle.

    Morning all,

Well my first day of flying didn't go to plan, yesterday I got home at 3.30pm with big plans. I'd no sooner walked through the door, and my Mother rang asking me if I would take her to Tesco  Got home at 5.00pm which is tea time then we took advantage of the good weather and went down the allotment until 8.00pm.

So for Wednesdays Flying I have:-

    Vacuum floor and sofas
    Level 2

    Clean window
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Level 3
    Wipe light switches
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
    Extra Mission:
Dust a collection – the tops of books on a shelve or CDs/DVDs/videos
    Wipe tops of curtain rails

    Wednesday, Master Bedroom
    Level 1
    Vacuum floor in bedroom
    Check fire alarms are working
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs
Bed day is Friday so I can miss this out
    Level 3
    Clean window & wipe windowsill
    Wipe doors and handles
Extra Mission Tasks - pick any one or more of the following
27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter!!!

Morning all, 3rd day in and I'm keeping it up - just given the master bedroom a thorough going over, so i am pretty much done for today but will probably do more bits as the day goes on.

I quit my job yesterday and a feel a huge weight off my shoulders, but a bit weird cos I'm not actually doing anything else am just concentrating on being a good mum & keeping on top of the house. I worked 8pm till 1am every Monday & Tuesday which doesnt sound much but left me kn*****ed for the rest of the week & pretty grumpy with the kids too. Hubby doesnt really help much with evening routines so started to feel that kids were getting short changed.

I feel a bit guilty cos most mums work these days & I feel as if I should be able to do everything but on the other hand years ago mums just had to be mums and it was (and still is) a hard enough job in itself.

Mind you, if i keep up with these threads in a couple of weeks time I should have the house part of it organised & i might be bored !! Thanks again to everyone who posts, i feel more inspired to do my jobs being part of a group where we are all tryng to achieve the same thing.
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

Hello all. I sort of disappeared yesterday. A friend turned up out the blue and it was just all a bit mad. Got nothing done in the lounge but dont feel too bad as the man turned up this am to put my new front door on so a mess will be created so i would have only had to repeat my work!!!

Hello to all the new ones. It does take some time to get into this and get it all spotless in the house so dont get disheartened if it doesnt happen immediately. Like everyone keeps saying "babysteps" also do remember that you cant get everything clean and tidy if there is loads of clutter....
Hev - you should have heard me when i lost my corkscrew and couldn't get in my bottle of wine...... The world ended that day.....

Hope everyone is doing ok. Pigpen get better soon. Katherine hope yesterday wasnt too sad.

I have started flying this week too and could not have done it without all of the support that we get on this forum.

I understand completely how you feel trying to be a good mum and working part-time. I was working part-time at the weekends and although it wasn't much it really took it out of me. I was also not seeing much of DH and I was just miserable. I knew money was tight and I should have been able to do it all but I couldn't, not and stay happy anyway, and that was the most important thing. Sometimes you just have to put yourself first, for a change, as it doesn't happen much when you are a mum.

I have a splitting headache (due to af.. I have headache the first 3-4 days of her being here.. currently day 3 so should be ok by the weekend) and my throat is actually just 'sore' now so much improved.. but I feel like I have to do something.. so..

    I have the WM's on
I threw out the broken TD.. all by myself so now I have a fluffy space on a worksurface..
I have picked beakers and mugs from all over the house..
and am now considering getting out the iron and ridding the larder unit of shirts...

    what next..??

aaahhh.. cuppa it seems!.. wonder if I have anything worth eating for lunch...

Best put the DW on too.. I've done nothing since last Monday.. not the one this week! Terrible!!
