Weekly Flylady Thread 18th June 2007

Options
Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!

Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.

THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.

Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.

Right I shall try and do at least one thing from each list each day so that I feel like part of the team rather than making stuff up as I go along and not getting any done!

Welcome back lil me, glad you had a good break away.

Well, not sure how i will do next week, flying has been a bit tricky these last few weeks, due to the new 1 yo im looking after, but im keeping on top of the dailies, which is the main thing.

As a head start on the week, i washed the kitchen floor today, so thats a good job for me out of the way - hopefully i will get a load more done tomorrow!!!!

I desperately need to get on track, with trying to catch up on laundry, finding somewhere to put the things the kids got on hols and the day out planned today, I've definately been flying low. Downstairs looks like a bloomin' bombs hit it! I still have more laundry to do, main problem being it's been raining and not wanting soggy washing lying about have been staggering washes for when a load is dry.

Downside being now as we've been away I have 8 appointments and meetings at least so far this week :( so this is going to be tricky! Oh and tomorrow, we'll most likely be going to see the dog I mentioned and possibly taking her on from then if she gets on ok with the others. I have a feeling this weeks going to be a tough one!

Off to do night time stuff, inc getting uniforms etc out, god knows where the kids school shoes and coats are, have done the jellies for lunches however so made a start. Where the hecks the packed lunch box ? Oh no, go away for just a week and everythings all to pot!

PS I have cheated due to lack of time meaning very little 'effort' has gone into this weeks start but will hopefully be better as the week goes on.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning everyone.

Trying to get back on track this week.
Last week turned into a bit of a disaster with a couple of pieces of bad news and then to cap it all the cat who adopted us, yes he decided he wanted to live with us rather than his real home across the road, has deposited fleas in various rooms of the house.
Makes us sound very very yucky doesn't it!

So this morning I have woken up at the start of the new week and am trying to be positive.

Thanks for the new list lil_me and I hope you all had the most fab time away.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Well.... I'm not dead ... YET!!! I have GP appointment at 9:40 this morning with a sensible GP I am just hoping my old record of tonsilitis has ben erased from the PC so I can have drugs that work and not be referred for splicing lol.

I'm staying on sick today!! I can't quite stop coughing.. my adenoid swelling has gone down so my ear is draining straight down my throat and making me cough incessantly which is of course making my throat hurt more...

DS1 said to me yesterday I can't possibly still be ill,, cos I've been ill a whole week already.. thanks for that son.. I must be all better then!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all :hello: I still need to catch up on last weeks thread properly but I'll do that later at lunch time ;)

Spent an interesting weekend making inroads to Anthea Turners book. I start "Lesson 7 : Laundry" today :rotfl: So out of curiosity I'm going to attempt to do Flying based on Lil_me's list (as in room) but by Antheas list just to see how manageable it would be...purely out of curiosity as her dailies list is quite more substantial than mine  I'm pretty sure it is physically impossible for someone to have that sort of list unless they have nothing else to do at all. So based on the notes I've taken over the weekend my list for today currently looks like this :
    • Dailies
      • Bedroom
        • Tidy
        • Make Beds
      • Bathroom
        • Tidy
        • Clean bath & sink (shampoo mirror to prevent it steaming up)
        • Clean Toilet
        • Change Facecloths (my idea... I prefer a clean one daily ;) )
      • Livingroom
        • Tidy
        • Hoover
      • Kitchen
        • Tidy
        • Wash all dishes
        • S&S before & after meals
        • Sweep floor (everyother day)
        • Mop floor (every other day)
        • Check fridge for lurkers that need to be used up.
      • Others
        • Evening meal - Pasta bake with salad (lets see if I can get portion size down & undercontrol  )
        • Lunches for Tomorrow
        • Uniforms
    • Kitchen (Weekly)
      • Clean Fridge out (bicarb & warm water solution)
      • Clean oven
      • Clean small appliance
      • Wash & sanitize the bin
      • Put a little washing soda down the sink followed by a kettle of boiling water to clean the pipes.
    • Kitchen (Fortnightly)
      • Deep clean fridge (removing all shelves etc)
    • Kitchen (Monthly)
      • Put paper ontop of cupboards (cut to size) to collect grease & dust - replace monthly
      • Defrost freezer (my choice to make it monthly ATM, but it's a "as needed" item)
    • Extras
      • School log books x 2 hours
      • Ironing
      • Bake?
So today looks like it could be an interesting day :rotfl::rotfl: Laters

    hallo.gifMorning everyone

juggle7ju.gifJust off on the school run in a minute - I have to find something to wrap around ds' plaster cast as it's raining here. I got up early and managed to do alot before dh left at 7.30 this morning. Ds seems a little better this morning, not so teary, though he is dosed up with calpol and baby Nurofen. I've stripped the beds and started the washing which is something I usually do on a Monday. As I have a small sofa in the kitchen I think I'll put ds on there when we get back, all propped up with pillows, and do some of the kitchen list and also put tonights dinner in the slowcooker.

1050848555.gifHave a good one - I'll see you all later

:j Morning everyone, sorry you're still feeling grotty pigpen, and sorry to hear about your bad week tinselfairy, hope things improve for you this week. Raining and horrible here in Norfolk, but I am feeling positive. Mum's visit went well, helped me to look at house with fresh eyes and see all the progress that has been made rather than focusing on all the bits not done yet! nicki I haven't looked at the Anthea book, but your list looks......interesting! Good luck! HopeElizzy hope DS has a reasonable day, how horrid for you all.

Aiming for level three today, thank lil-me. Glad to see your holiday went so well, especially the boys getting to sit in the helicopter - that sort of thing is priceless isn't it?
