Know what you mean about it getting adictive. I found this forum about 2 weeks ago and have got hooked on it. So much so I decided that I would only work half days on Mondays now. Had first half day yesterday and managed to get quite a lot done (too knackered to list it this morning, been a bit hectic).
It does make you feel really good when you start seeing things changing. My every faithful eldest dog is leaving us tomorrow, he has cancer and it has come time to say goodbye so the vet will be here sometime during the day. Have decided that on Thursday am going to have a massive clean as the house does smell quite pongy, he started being sick on Sunday. Also going to sort a space out in the garden where we can bury his ashes.
Best get going so can do some more before work. Have a good day and keep at it liuhut.:wave:0 -
Just a real quickie to say hugs to lil_me, really feel for you but good news about DS and katherine hug for you too. In fact all round big hugs with a big smacker on your forehead from me.0

Morning all :hello: Its supposed to be a nice day here today so I'm hoping to get some washing done and dry
Lil_me : ((hugs))
Everyone else who needs a hug have one, but my brain's gone blank and I can't remember what I was going to reply:rolleyes:
Last night at 10pm I decided to clear out my food cupboards :rotfl: I have gained half a shelf in one of them so thats some progress, and I will gain more once I bake again as I have a few bags of ingrediants which "won't all fit in my plastic pots" Didn't finish the dishes though so I did a batch this morning and I'll do another batch when I get back from school

Lil_me, I hope your friend is okay. The distance thing is awful, I hope she manages to get to the hospital okay.
katherinedrex, I am sorry to hear about your dog. It is very brave of you to make the decision that the suffering has to end. hugs.
Well, yesterday was not good. In fact, I didn't get anything done on the listAnd I drank two big bottles of Diet Coke which I am trying to give up.
But I did get a large amount of ironing done, and pureed some veggies (actually, skivvied for DH while he pureed some veggies that I had peeled, chopped and put in steamer but the hand blender is a new gadget) and froze them. This is the second week DS is on solids, so breakfast and tea he gets baby rice at the moment. Next week, he gets veggies!!!!!
And I got some of the cross stitch done, changed all the bedding (a job I hate) and the towels, washed up straight after tea, scraped up all of the puree that 'missed', and spent lovely quality time with DH. I kept up with the bottles in the steriliser, emptied the dehumidifiers and cooked tea before DH got in.
Today DS slept through til 5.30 and despite my best efforts I could not go back to sleep and I am shattered, so I am taking anything that I get done today as a bonus.
So far I have bought a big bottle of the dreaded diet coke (bad), posted the rental dvd (good), eaten an ice cream (bad but yummy), taken a lint roller to DS's play gym (where does it all come from? I went through strips and strips of the roller and it still kept coming off! I will have to make it a daily) and hoovered around the area of DS's play gym. Normally he spends most of the day on the play gym, but now he can roll I think I will have to upgrade to a playpen.
Today, I am aiming at Monday's level one, Tuesday's level one, washing, washing, washing because according to the weather forecast this is going to be the best day for drying and ironing. I am also optimistic about getting some more cross stitch done. And I want to play with DS in the yard.
Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the messages everyone, been a manic morning, her Mam got a call to say her Dad had a bad night and to go to the hospital. I've been on the phone to her to check she's ok, she knows if she needs me there I will be there, but this is her precious time with her husband so leaving it up to her. Friend's flight I am watching like a hawk, slightest delay and we're going to get her, they have the car up there but can't risk any delays.
Katherine, sorry to hear about the dog, pets are so much one of the family, will be thinking of you all today.
Shirley bathroom looks great, you should change career! Enjoy your days off
Right, going to potter around doing living room and get the vinyl flooring fitted in the dogs room to keep me busy, sitting here refreshing flight data every 30 seconds isn't good! Actually coffee first then take DS1s glasses into school as he's broken the other set before 9am. Hope everyone has a good day.One day I might be more organised...........

Okay, I'm trying to get the house straight, look after DS and not spend money.
The house looks like a direct hit. I get washing in, make up bottles, hang out washing, feed DS, make pot of tea (sounds weird, but a big step for me as I am trying to get off diet coke), pull a few weeds on way back from hanging out washing and pour boiling water over some other weeds in cracks.
Now, I didn't manage to do level 1 of yesterday's challenge, and I certainly haven't done today's, and my kitchen is driving me nuts. So...
Why do I find myself wiping down the outside of the kitchen door, that hardly anyone can see?
Off to put in some more washing.

Morning!
(((hugs))) for you and your friend Lil me! What an awful thing to happen, poor girl, thank goodness she has such a good friend!
Hev - can you print out the list or write some of it down? I find it does help me to focus as I too get distracted by other tasks. Remember even one thing from the list will help especially if you start to do it regularily. Don't get too down on yourself as caring for a baby is a huge task in itself and I found the years when my children were small the most exhausting (but very happy ones).
As I have sorted my living room and hall/stairs earlier on I am going to concentrate on my craft room/dd's room when she stays over. Plenty of dusting to do there!:o
