Is there a daily to-do list anywhere for this thread? I sometimes feel like typing one up on the old WP and printing loads of copies out so I can cross as I go.

(I am being a bit lazy, but I have just reduced the Everest of ironing to K2 size)

And is there a suggested weekly round. For example, I always try to change all bedding and towels on a Monday (washing and ironing them is another story). I have also tried (not kept to consistently) to make a meal planner on a Friday, to get the shopping on the weekend.

Anyway, about to do some washing, which will get the ironing up to Everest size again unless I get cracking on that as well, and I really could do with trying to finish the cross stitch for my uncle's birthday, and I have not crossed off a thing from the list yet....

But my little boy just smiled at me so all is alright :)

    Hev

Hi Hev, welcome, if you look at page one you will find info posted by lil_me, we have a list of jobs for each day so you need to go back to that page each day to find that days list. It is in levels which really help me as some days I can do virtually nothing but always seem to manage at least level one. People have their own dailies like the washing and wiping around kitchen and bathroom.

Hope- how's your DS feeling this afternoon, a bit better I hope.
lbnblbnb- so true that we often concentrate on what we haven't done rather than look at what we have achieved. Stay positive!
lil_me- sorry to hear about your row and keeping fingers crossed all went ok with the woman from the LEA
aimee- congrats on the run and wow! sounds like you had a fab party
ju and hev- welcome to the thread, it's great here! Keep things simple to start off with and after a few weeks it really does get easier
this is it- sorry to hear you are feeling poorly, hope you feel brighter soon

The day for me has gone ok.
Didn't have to do oven as did that last week.
What with our 'visitors' we've been tidying and hoovering quite often these past few days so it isn't too bad here.
As well as the flying I went into town to do and bit of shopping and pay the CC bill and also found a couple of Christmas presents for my DS. The Works are selling a colour in your own kite kit for £1.99 which he'll love. Also bought one for my friend's son in the USA as it's so light it'll be a good thing for posting.
This evening will be sorting lunches for tomorrow, cooking a new recipe from my new vegetarian cookbook for tea, more ironing, getting DS to write out a card for one of his sisters, wrapping a birthday present and hopefully a bit of reading time.

    Take care all.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Well I have had a good first day I think, when DH came in he said, wow you have turned into a clean freak, which I think was a compliment:rolleyes: Still a few bits to do but quite pleased with my first day, just got to keep it up and I may even turn into an ok housewife. Work has suffered a bit today though so must try and earn some money now.

Evening ladies. As we're out this evening and I'm currently working on website and poster projects, which is becoming a nightmare! I thought I would post the list now. I have borrowed Michelle's idea to add a little variety to the week, have added curtain rail as I went to change a bulb earlier and seen the state of mine! How the heck does that muck get up there.

Anyway update on the dog, we went to the Rescue Centre today and she was GONE!! Another rehoming place took her to try to rehome her as her time was up where she was (they put them to sleep :( ) anyway, she's gone somewhere in Nottingham, a few calls later we've arranged for her to come back up here (as if she had no home by tomorrow, she would have been put to sleep :() So anyway the lady from the kennels is sorting out bringing her back. Wires were crossed about when we were away and that we wanted her back!

All that said should have her by the end of the week. Have spent the rest of the day dragging up the laminate flooring in the back hall. Replacing it with vinyl.
One day I might be more organised...........

Hope everyone has a healthy, productive week and if anyone's not feeling so good hugs to them xx

Ok going to do the washer draw and and clean up from dinner then get DS3 ready for bed. DS1 is foul teenage mood as he did not save his homework on the pc and now it is gone - he is sulking in his room. Mound of ironing to start so may or may not be back but will see you all tomorrow if not.

Evening all, here comes the cow's tail!

Lots of busy folks today. Get better soon those with the lurgies. Welcome to Ju and hev, (Ju, if you go advanced when making your post there's a load of tricks in there for striking etc). Well done to people having another bash this week too.

Thanks for the list Lil_me, hope the dog and OH situation is resolved soon.. maybe they'll trade one for the other? Just a thought.. (hope you know I'm jesting)

Well after my lazy week last week I played catch up yesterday so this evening I'm just going to do cupboards n stuff in the kitchen. With usually only an hour free in the evenings the extras are the things that fall by the wayside for me. I'm hoping to find strange redundant gadgetry and I might as well do a food inventory while I'm at it 'cos my grocery challenge is, well, challenging!

Have a happy evening. Back later perhaps.

  • well we went for a walk this morning and ended up being out nearly all day, good walk though.
JU i get my 2 year old to help do you think your 3 year old would help? just simple things like giving her a duster and telling her to help do the important jobs makes her feel involved and buys me some time, doesnt particularly help the cleaning but does help keep them occupied. though i have to admit i do resort to dvd's occasionally too :D
