lbnblbnb - I think the helicopter visit was my sons favourite part, definately made his holiday, must remember to get a thank you card for them today.
pigpen sorry to hear you're feeling no better
tinselfairy hope you get the 'visitors' sorted
Kazonline welcome back, it's been a while hasn't it. Pleased you like the levels
Well DP and I didn't have a good day yesterday, arguing, mainly because he was tired, !!!!!! I only asked him to move the stuff he dumped in front of the freezer door then he started! He's still here at the minute and has a dentist appointment soon but after the words said last night really don't know what is going to happen today. I'll be honest, I really don't care!
Have been trying to call the LEA lady who rang while we were away, I know her as Queen B*tch as we've had run ins in the past over other peoples children (her department make the decision on statements and SEN placements) anyway, lucky her she doesn't start work until 10am so waiting for a call back. I know she's going to question my request for a special needs place for my son, she's well known for it, but I will not back down
Right, best get cracking, loads to do and so little time, out this evening so my kitchen once done will stay tidy for at least one dayOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning all. Here's to a fresh new week for everyone.
lil_me - welcome back, hope you manage to get over the holiday soon.
Michelle - Thanks again for last week, glad the wedding went ahead!!
Pigpen - Get well soon. I have tonsillwotsit so often my dr had repeat prescription and i could phone up and he would send the prescription to the chemist for me to collect!!
solway - i'm glad the move went ok for you
The race for life went really well - thanks for the positive messages everyone. We managed to raise about £120 which is fantastic. My house was a mess after the party which was such good fun. Much drunken frivolity with several camerasWe got to be at 4am with 4 of us crammed in my double bed and other bodies littered around the house and for some strange reason decided to get up about 8am and sit downstairs watching Hot Fuzz eating icecream
Generally a good evening i feel. We went for chilli and jackets - thanks v much michelle for the suggestion. I spent most of last night clearing up the mess and apart from the cherry sours stains on the worktop ( if it does that to the worktop what does it do to you!!!) you wouldnt know we had about 15 people in my small cottage!!

Oh good lord are you all superwomen?
Quite new to all this so hello everyone.
I've been struggling for a long time - I've bought Flyladys book, stickers timer etc etc and for about 2 weeks I did actually do home blessing!!
Thought i'd try to do it your way, a room a day instead of a room a week but I still feel a bit bewildered, I have a 3 yr old at home and she constantly wants my attention and I chose to be at home with her so i feel guilty if i'm not doing stuff with her but when i'm playing with her I feel guilty that the housework isnt getting done so i really need routines so i can get stuff done "on autopilot" so to speak.
Another issue in my head is decluttering I find it very hard to know what to part with, i know it should be easy and i really want to have an empty organised home but I put off decluttering cos I know I'll faff for an hour and probably put 3 quarters of the stuff back, then i feel like a failure cos i cant do it !!!!!
What dailies does everyone do? At the moment what i do on a consistent basis is make beds. swish bathroom & put laundry in wash, wash up (constantly)
At the mo I feel like a daddy long legs that just flits around bumping into stuff & not achieving anything & i desparately want to be a good mum & housewife where it all feels a lot easier than it does now !!!
Help everyone before i go insaneThe cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.0 -

Morning everyone, pent the last few days suffering with a bad tummy and now my back and kidneys are hurting to but besides that i'm fine.
Have also had loads of things to deal with at home just hoping things will start to get better very soon.
Anyway have cleared up the kids mess by the time i'd walked around the house picking things up as i went i'v ended up with 2 extra loads of washing:eek: . I'm just going to take my time and just do what i can ,oh is off this week so hopefully i'll get some help.0 -
Morning all
Hope you have a good break Michelle.
jubarnes - everybody's dailies are different but yours sound OK to me. The secret is really in the decluttering otherwise you are just moving stuff around. Do you have somewhere you can store stuff in boxes? You could put stuff in there that you're not sure about chucking and if it's still there in a few weeks and you haven't missed it, then out it goes!
You will find the first few weeks hard work but then you'll find it never gets as bad again because it is getting cleaned regularly and you should be able to do it in short bursts in between seeing to your daughter.
Listen to me, I sound as if I've got a clean houseBut I do try.
********
Done almost up to level 3 in the kitchen (not done the oven, but I've done the hob and the front - just don't open the door).
Sorted through the paperwork cupboard in the kitchen and done some chucking and shredding.
Dusted and vacuumed living room and hallway.0 -
Anthea most definetly had a cleaner! :rotfl: Mind you it's a horribly muggy day here and I'm breaking a sweat just wiping the worktops down
I noticed a few things were missing from my list which includes cleaning the window so I'm going to adjust the list as appropriate as I realise whats missing. My plan is to manage to get a thorough list together which I can then use when DD is on holiday and I'm trying to get stuff done so we can go out;) Looking forward to actually making & using some checklists :rotfl:- Dailies
