    Hello all.

Hope you dont mine but I think I might give this a go. I really need to get some structure to my cleaning!! Think its more of a push that I need.

Came home from work with all good intentions of doing the Monday list, have walked through the door to mess everywhere, feel like cr*p and just dont know where to start now!! cannot believe how much everyone one else has done either!!!
Just one question - the jobs in my house that NEVER get done like cleaning behind the wardrobe and cleaning the lampshades....how often should they be done and do you include them on the lists on here??

Looking forward to my (hopefully) cleaner home and less stressed me!!

Have done some kitchen stuff, mainly because DD had a friend over for tea and we all made buns and decorated them together for DD's Rainbows mini-fete tomorrow. You can imagine quite a lot needed doing in the kitchen after that!:rotfl: Will try to mop up the other tasks after our meal, but will have to leave windows until tomorrow. We have got secondary glazing, which spiders seem to love getting into and creating works of art. I will destroy them tomorrow with OH's help.
I am feeling a bit weird, as I have realised I have four weeks until I return to work - only for four days before the summer holidays, but still it will mean I have work on my mind again. Not looking forward to leaving my son at all. I want to have the house sorted before I return to work, but need to keep focused on progress not perfection - I love that slogan! I also have my brother and his family visiting from America at the end of July. Their house is always lovely, I feel inadequate..... again, I should focus on what matters, which is the pleasure of seeing them (I haven't met my year old neice yet). Ho hum, I will probably feel more positive tomorrow.
Good night all, may post again but likely I will crash out after finishing the kitchen. Happy flying.

Thanks for that. Will have to leave the doors for tonight then until I can get some stardrops tomorrow. Its a good workout, I feel knackered and I'm only half way through......can see the difference already though , cannot wait until I have done a week..think that this could get addictive!!

Hi liuhut, it does become addictive but just do what you can, if you have a mammoth blitz you'll soon fall out with it. Baby steps is a bit of a motto; Lil_me's levels for each day make it feel like you've achieved something at least.
You asked about jobs that never get done.. Some folks work to this list plus their own 'extras'. Maybe saving them for the day that that room comes around in the week. The great thing is there are no rules just guidelines! I like to nosey at other folks' lists to see if it makes me think of something. Either way you'll get support on here.

ps I'm still using up the last of my Flash for some jobs but stardrops is a bit fab if you can find it!

    Thanka for that SolwayKid

I know what you mean about baby steps, I will be knackered tomorrow and not want to do anything..I am an all or nothing person as well. My OH works shifts and will be back at 10 so on the weeks that he is not here I tend to put the kids to bed at 7 and then do stuff round the house until he comes home. I should make sure that I sit down and take a break...actually now seems as good a time as any!!!
I'm noisy as well, read debtfreeHopeful's list at the top and thought SH*t I have to do the Ironing...just come back from hols so have an absolute mountain. My mum will have the kids tomorrow so hoefully I'll come home from work and it might be done!!!!

So glad I found this thread, nice to know what other people are doing and what they have to do. I always feel that I have got loads and everyone else sails along stress free!!!

liuhut, our local Morrisons has Stardrops and Starclens (ammonia stuff, good for floors, although I am sure the smell isn't liked by everyone, to me it smells as if things have been really cleaned). Wilkinsons sells it too.

Variously interupted by phone call and texts and making supper but most of my kitchen cupboards are sorted now and the drawers (200 buncases and 3 whisks anyone?) I did want to get some ironing done but I think it's feet up time. Like they say, it'll still be there tomorrow. Unfortunately. (they don't say that bit, that's just me..)

Have a good evening, enjoy what you're doing tomorrow.
