Where else can you go for such good value entertainment as here????? What with pigpens feet and grannynise and pollybears other halves .. had me chuckling into my shawl and zimmer frame....

You all have done so well and especially Linda32 - great start.

Now just you apprentice flyers keep going - you CAN see the difference, promise and just a little a day makes it so much easier the next.

Ah Mistress ;) you have signed up to the American one - they are so much more ..um .... overfocussed ( that the right word??) than this lot. We take the laid back approach with levels as we know we are all gonna slip to level one and lower sooner or later - cos this is how real life is. Our way you can do as much as you want / have time for/ need to on each day's list ( yep - there will be more) adn it will all be roudn again next week for the bits you didnt do. Nothing writ in stone ( which is a good job cos I do my own thing - at my time of life I reckon I am entitled) but boy when you read what some of these ladies do with hordes of youngsters AND jobs AND OH's AND the house it makes me full of admiration and determined to do better!

Mind you if you is a mistress then dont you have slave for all this domestic stuff????? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Thanks a lot everyone for your kind thoughts and words. Not feeling too bad, sons and DH seem to be holding up. My guide dog is the one who is totally lost. She was with him when he passed away, I wanted her to be able to say goodbye. We were all with him and he died peacefully in my arms whilst I was on the settee with him surrounded by all the family. It's the hardest thing I have ever had to do but I love him too much to make him suffer.

DS3 and girlfriend are now on their way to Manchester to catch a flight to Egypt tomorrow morning. The timing was perfect after this morning. I'm a bit worried about them getting around Egypt because when I was stood on the step saying goodbyes and have you got everything, yes yes was the reply and then I asked them did they want to take their suitcases with them because they were still in the hall.:confused: Oh what an adventure for them :T

Hope you all had a good day and just being on here for a short time has really cheered me up.

    Thanks again

I have noticed a few people mention UKFlyLady but cannot seem to find it through google, does anyone have a link so I can sign up. It is a bit strange getting e-mails in the morning telling me to go to bed, and telling me to get dressed in the middle of the afternoon.

I've had a bit of a skive this evening, apart from dailies I've not done a great deal. I have washed tonights dishes though so I'll not have them glaring at me tomorrow evening.. Just got the laundry to sort. I had a break to watch Not Easy Being Green..Nothing at all to do with sweaty young men in vests you understand..Ahem.. Anyhow..

Welcome Mistresslenore, Boston -'overfocussed' couldn't have put it better myself.
Thursdays list will be on the first post of this thread later when Lil_me gets a chance (actually, I haven't looked it may be there already). Hope you find the pace a little less demanding here AND you don't have to get dressed to your shoes! It's not sad that you're excited but it does become addictive.
Liuhut, glad its working for you and you're feeling positive.
Saversarn, that's sad news about your dog. Give her lots of love.

Right, I'm off to read my book in the bath.
Have fun tomorrow, I'll catch up tomorrow and promise I won't bunk off Flying duties 2 days in a row.

A may not be flying BUT I am am flinging!!

1 carrier of clothes to nursery, 1 carrier of parcels posted.. and another 1 set to go tomorrow. I filled a wheelie bin to the brim.. binday tomorrow, and my 4 recycle boxes are full.. I intend running about upstairs filling more bags so I can at least half fill the second wheelie... I really need rid of some rubbish in here. I have the upstairs bins to empty too so I shall do those in a bit.

Today is the first day on well over a week I have actually been awake ALL day and not in bed before 10pm so I am doing really well. Hubby commented on how 'awake' I am today compared to the last week so I am obviously much better than I was.. :D.. soon be flying again!

I can't believe I volunteered for the shortlisting process and the interview panel for the new deputy head!!! I must be MAD!!!!!!!! (ok I am just incredibly nosey and don't want to miss anything)

Off to fling fling fling!!! I love this part best!!!
