I can't believe I have fallen for this as well, I have rang the bank and they say there is nothing they can do as I have authorised it. What else can I do ???

How about reading some of the other posts?

There is good advice in there.

I finally got through yesterday on the 0800 number and they said I have to wait 30 days then I can either send the product back with the rebate form and get £136 as they have to take off a re-stocking fee. Or I can keep the products and get £149 back.
However after reading all these post saying people were getting refunds straight away if they had an RMA number, I called back and they eventually gave me an RMA number so I soon as I received the products I could send them back, but I would only get £136.
I am going to call back tonight and say that I want a full refund straight away because I am constantly reading different things on here about what they're telling people. Clearly they are telling people different things. My concern is, I haven't read anything on here about anyone actually receiving a refund :/
  • I've also fell for the scam I've ordered a free trial today then read a few reviews and realised its a scam !!!!!! I'm annoyed with myself for falling for it but Aldo extramly worried I'm going to get over changed and not the £4.95 postage I never revived a conformation email just something about my parcel bring insured ??? Going to the bank later and see if I can cancel the payment
  • How long after ordering did the money come out of your banks????

The amount was pending on my account more or less straight away, as soon as I ordered. I paid on a credit card so will have to pay it when I get the bill through, and hope for a refund :/

I received an email about the package being insured, however that is only if the package never arrives, so is lost, or if it is damaged when it arrives.
  • OK let me start by saying we have fallen victim of this and in my opinion Facebook could stamp this out in a minute but don't, we got taken for £400 via facebook ads as discussed on here, we have reported it in writing to FB with no reply and we have closed all the ads we get saying they are scams but still FB keep them going, I can almost hear the cash registers.

This is how Ketone and others do it:-

    1. They start with the facebook ad endorsed by a celeb with a link to waitrose , marie clare etc.

    2. You click to the next page and the they show you a false page from a womans magazine such as marie clare with the words "risk free trial", free is highlighted.

    3. you click through and the word free disappears the terms and condition box is pre ticked (so you don't get reminded to tick the t's & c's) and the amount in the box is only £4.95 for postage.

    4. Too late they have you.

These people are making a fortune but my gut still blames Facebook for putting it out there, don't forget ladies these ads are targeted towards YOU! and its facebook doing the targeting.

We have fought these people with a minimum amount of success but they are robbers.

For what its worth the t's and c's you didn't tick are watertight and spell out what will happen .

Good luck its not your fault and please dont feel bad, they are really good conmen supported by the website you trust.

Has anyone successfully returned them for a refund or got the rebate?
  • Hi, I've also done the same thing, saw on my account that they took £153 out the same day, had no email and now I can't get in touch with the company, I so annoyed at myself! How do we go about exposing this company? Does anyone know?
    Thank you

Stop clicking on ads or better still use as blocker for Firefox or similar add on for another browser. If it looks too good to be true then it is. If it says free trial and wants payment then how can it be a free trial, just think about it before you give your card details away.
