  • Hi have just done the same and none of the numbers listed work :( I have contacted my bank and they are going to see if they can do something about it when the payment has gone out. Feeling so stupid. I haven't got that kind of money and i'm going to get charged by my bank for going over now as well! I hope I get my money back but at the moment it seems like a massive scam :( wish there was something I could do :( xx

Could that just be because it's Saturday?

    Try again on Monday.
  • Ok so I feel like a complete idiot now I have made the same mistake....
Fortunately for me I am not alone, you have all experienced the panic I am now feeling, but months before, could you please tell me what the outcome was.

    Thanks in advance
  • I have just done the same as you.

I have an 0800 number - 08004046960 that i will call on monday first thing.

I feel so stupid and am praying i get my money back.

I have phoned my bank (nationwide) and they say they can do a visa dispute once the transaction shows on the statement which will probably be monday.

I am hopeful from other peoples threads that I will get money back, so all I can do is wait til then.

i dont want to wait til i get product to return, ideally the transaction will be cancelled before shipping.

I really feel for you, you are not alone.

the rebate (discount) only applies to us citizens, not uk. they did not make that clear, the !!!!!!!s.
  • this number that i quoted, and i got an american accent saying, "this is now closed, please call back from mon-fri, 1-10pm"
  • btw the bank has a right to dispute this transaction as it is fradulent, ie you are being chargd more than you agreed to pay
  • Further to my post on Friday, I received my package today (ordered Thursday) which has an "if undelivered please return to ... address" the same address in Scotland that other people have quoted on here. I will return mine with a track on delivery. The distance selling regulations say you have the right to cancel order within 7 days of receipt of item. I have already emailed them advising I will return the item and asked them to confirm I will not receive any more items or money taken from my account. Also I see that Glamour magazine have said they have nothing to do with this so they have complained to the advertising standards agency, so although they have sent the product, it is still misleading and not as they advertised so hopefully I will get my refund. Will keep you updated.
  • I have just had a phone call from Nationwide fraud team about a 1.99 transaction that was not authorized, they have blocked that transaction. I am now waiting for the 153 transaction to debit so that I can make a dispute claim just like you. I'm not sure whether to bother calling the number I doubt it works, just like the email doesn't work.

I have sent an email to MSE in the hope that they will post the story, warning others. I have emailed Glamour magazine and told them about the affiliate page claiming to be a part of Glamour. I have emailed the facebook team in the hope that the affilliate page will be blocked and unable to post via facebook.

I have researched helpful legislation on the gov website. The best I've seen to support us unfortunate fools are; the distance selling regulation and the consumer protection from unfair trading regulations.

It is now a waiting game for us all, I wish everyone the best of luck solving their problem and getting their money back. For now I suggest that you all join me in sharing and re positing any link you see with this terrible page, explaining that it is a SCAM. Hopefully we can spread the word far enough that others wont be as unfortunate as us, I know that if i'd seen this site first I wouldn't of clicked anything!
    Good luck.
