Found £125 !!
Unfortunately,because it was not all in individual £1 coins spilled under fridges in Boots,and I didnt need to lay on my tummy to retrieve it,I cannot count it in my monthly total (now that would give you a run for your money,HOK3Y,hey?)
For the first time in a years,I offered to drive OH to work.After I had dropped him off,I decided to do a little roadkill hunt(my new hobby!) at the Morrisons across the road from his work.
Parked as far away from the shop entrance as I could,scanned carpark,the floor by all the trolley bays,the entrance to the shop.
I went to the toilet(for my own business,not in the name of my "hobby":rotfl:),looked down at the floor,and there was a purse between toilet and cubicle wall!!
I checked for ID,thinking I could phone the owner from my mobile.When I saw how much money was in there,I knew the lady must still be in the shop-it was obviously her shopping money for the week........you would definately miss it when you went to pay.(Unless of course,you had simply walked into Morrisons to go to the toilet then search for roadkill :rotfl:)
Owner was tannoyed,and found.Meanwhile I was searching for £125 of roadkill on the floor(Karma 'n all that ).
When I spoke to customer services on my way out,the girl was saying they are ALWAYS having purses lost and found in that shop!!

Still nothing for me! I swear there is someone in my village who must get up at the crack of dawn to collect it all...

You guys are hilarious! I love this thread. Lying on the floor, bringing out a metal ruler, I admire your effort! I haven't found anything since the 6th, so my total is still £6.41 + 7 tesc@ points. Going to have 2 trips out today just for this purpose! One annoying thing about my local tesc@s is that the staff are super quick about picking up any pennies from the floor and put all the uncollected receipts in a bin, so difficult to rummage for wombled receipts without raised eyebrows from security. Sorry to hear about your hubby's ring Hok3y

I have an other 30p to report from my evening work- 20p found on an empty chair and 2x 5p left on the bar- it was a formal dance for 6th formers and probably thought they are too cool to collect 2x 5p change from the bar .

HOK3Y- sorry to hear about your OH's ring gone missing- could you possibly claim it on your home insurance?

I also started a mini challenge for myself- I put exactly 15 litres of unleaded into my car a week at the cheapest garage- any change I have left from £20 goes into a moneybag in my car and once its close to £20 it will be used to buy petrol and save a week's spend. :DI started it 4 weeks ago and so far got £2.92 in the bag. :TIts also a good way to monitor the cost of petrol over the weeks/ months- I always keep my petrol receits in the car as well.;)

I've been having a practice run but haven't started officially. Found 3p in a betting shop the other day but can't count that as it was pre-roadkill. But my big problem is bumping into people on the pavement by having my eyes cast down. I knocked a girl off her bike, my hat fell into a puddle tripping over a dog's lead, I collided with a pram full of babies on Friday and I keep being told 'Watch where you're going mate, willyer!

This may not be for me.
