Roadkill Rebels - November 2013

Seeing as a fair few of us seem to get a real kick out of finding coins, I thought it might be fun to track our finds for the month and see just how much money can be reclaimed from our streets. I have set up a simple spreadsheet to keep track of finds and tally it all up for me at the end of the month, but you can keep track on the thread or your signature if you prefer.

Rules? Well not many - just find as much roadkill as you can between Nov 1st and 30th. The only stipulation is that it must be found outside of your home and/or car - it has to be money that genuinely wasn't yours or your family's before you found it! So if you find it down the side of the sofa, it doesn't count!

I don't know if this will catch on but I figure we probably need at least 10 people to participate to make it fun and encouraging. Anyone else up for a challenge?? Bare in mind that I'm a tad competitive! But that's a good thing in this field because it just means more money in my pocket! :rotfl: I am really interested in seeing how much money can be picked up collectively across the nation (globe?)!

Oh!! What a lovely surprise to wake up to this morning! I went to bed last night with this thread about to drop off into oblivion and figured I must be the only roadkill lunatic on the forum but no! I have company!!! Brilliant, brilliant!!

Alright, your mission is to take the next week to practice! I have gone out this month and pushed the envelope to learn where are the best places to look and I have had an amazing month of finds. Car parking machines, on the floor at self service (and definitely always check the note return on the machines!), train stations (truly exceptional for coins), airports, bus stops - anywhere that people have purses out to pay for something is a really good place to scan the floor! I am itching to hear how everyone gets on and where we find coins - inspiration is never a bad thing!

Okay, I'll post a number for every Roadkill Rebel and you can use it in your signature if you want but definitely use it to post at the end of November and we will add up how much we have all found. Very excited for November now!
