Couples moving in together

We met on a Thursday. On the Friday I took him to meet my parents. On the Saturday we went to see his parents (200 mile round trip), and then I moved into his flat on the Sunday. Three days later.
That was almost 25 years ago. Still together.I am the Cat who walks alone0 -
My OH moved in 6 months after we became an official couple. It seemed quite quick, but then he was round so much it made sense that I got him to help with the bills (and cleaning!)
I lived my ex prior to being with him, we were together just over a year before we moved in together, and we moved in for the wrong reasons. totally wrong reasons.0 -
Took us just over 5 years, seems we're definitely in the minority! We lived 5 mins apart and spent most time at his place. Quite often I would only go home once a week or so. Even so, we weren't ready to properly move in together for 5 yrs. Then we sold our houses and bought where we live now. Been 2.5 yrs...so far so good lol0

But that's fine if it suits you or circumstances mean it isn't an option. I hope you have an end in sight, at least to the distance aspect.0 -
My mate (now married 21 years) met his future wife at a party 3 days after he'd dumped his ex of 4 years.
He moved in with her after 6 months, and they were married 6 months later.
His explanation? "I knew she was the one, within 5 minutes of meeting her, and neither of us saw any reason to wait. If you know you know, then you know."
He'd NEVER lived with his ex. so I suspect he knew she wasn't the one.0 -

About 3 months after meeting me he took it on himself to move out into his sisters house - it wasn't a popular move with ex as she then had to take on mortgate (dh walked away didn't demand anything).
He was then living in a 2 bed with 2 other adults and 3 children (1 a newborn) Spent about 6 months sleeping on the floor there.
That really brought a smile to my face. Thanks.:)
 hopefully, even if his sister couldn't provide a bed at least he had access to a TV!:rotfl:0 -
I met my OH in 2005, we lived together in a shared house from 2008 when I went to uni and in 2009 we bought our house together. A couple of months would be way too soon for me.0

I moved in with my boyfriend and his parents after three weeks of being together
I had a row with my mum and stepdad, and they told me just to get out, so I went to stay with him, and then when I had made up with my parents, we decided we got on better when I didn't live with them, so I stayed here (his parents were fine with it, I do and always have paid them rent)
I was 16 when I moved in, now 190 -
I met my now OH mid January and we got married mid June. We did not live together before we got married. We did see each other every day even if only for a short time (OH worked shifts).
We have been married for over 30 yearsThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
