Up on 1st December down on 2nd jan or sometimes before. Hubby goes back to work on the 27th December so lost the Christmas spirit by then!0

Last year mine didn't go up until the 30th December!
I was in a car crash the day I planned to do it (a week before Christmas) then was away from Christmas Eve until the 29th, but I was determined it was going up once I felt well enough to do it.0 -
Not at all this year. We have just got a new cat who will not leave anything, particularly curtains, or other things hanging down alone.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
When it's Christmas! So, for me, Christmas eve. Anything before that is Advent.0

We're very traditional: up Christmas Eve, down on Twelfth Night. We always had a real tree until a few years ago, when we got an artificial one that looks amazingly good. It takes about five minutes to put up and put away, so it's hassle-free.
Having said that, I only do it because my OH wants it. If it were up to me, I wouldn't bother with anything - perhaps just a bit of green and some mistletoe to appease the old gods.If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -
Ours goes up during the week before Christmas. We tend to leave it until the last minute as trees are usually cheaper! I think we play "chicken" with the family across the road to see who will be the LAST ones to have their tree up and decorated
. It comes down on Twelfth Night.
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -

Family tradition in our house no decorations are allowed up until the 17th as this is the day my mum & dad meet.
I really like keeping this tradition as i know how much it means to my mum especially as she lost my dad 22 years agoFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -

We don't put a tree or decorations up...only been able to do it once since my divorce but it depressed the life out of me, so haven't repeated it.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
