Before i forget, @zafiro1984, if i remember, you have a lower sugar rosehip marmalade you did last year. Could i trouble you for the recipe? Going to skip the rosehip gin this year (was not a success) got 2 bottles sloe going.

I'll look up the recipe tomorrow. I usually use a conventional recipe for jams/marmalade and cut the amount of sugar used but store it in small quantities in the freezer. My latest one made is crab apple and clove.

     rosehip and orange marmalade
800g rosehips, weight after de-seeding and trimming tops and bottoms
    400g sugar
    3 oranges
    1 lemon
    cinnamon - optional

Freeze the rosehips for a few days to soften them
Mix rosehips and half of sugar overnight
bring to boil add 150ml H2O, plus juice from 1orange and 1 lemon, then simmer
Finely cut the other oranges and add to pan. You are supposed to zest them and cut just the flesh but I find that too much trouble so I use all of the oranges, and, I have been known to add the peel of the juiced orange and lemon as well.
Add remainder of sugar boil until setting point. This is where I use less sugar because I keep my marmalade in the freezer.

Not been feeling too well post shingles, rash is going but pain is still there and you can't get away from it. Who else cleans the kitchen at 3am? I was texted for my flu and covid booster but they're reluctant to give it to me for another 2-3weeks - never mind - that's life.

Out:- 3 sausages,1x trout, ice-cream, puff pastry, bread, portion of steak and kidney cooked a few weeks ago and frozen in individual packs.
I'm working my way through a £1.50 Lidl fruit/veg box, good selection and well worth the money.

I was supposed to go shopping tonight but I think I'll get a home delivery for next week instead, Covid on the rise here.
