Thanks @zafiro1984, only couple handfuls left, so will use them up. Ms C done a pretty braid last year, but there was just not enough to bother with this year.

In: large pack of chicken breasts, poached already. Half batch of courgette and cheddar muffins.
    Out: ham slices.

    out:- 4 sausages for tea

I also got out a haunch of venison I'd been reluctant to use. It must be a couple of years old so I thought I'd better do something with it. It weighed 3.12 kg. Delia had a recipe in her 'Ch Book'  which I used donkey's years ago. (casserole - Venison with pickled walnuts, port and Guinness). I marinated it overnight so it will get cooked today, portioned out and frozen. The recipe says 10-12 portions. It should stand me in good stead for a quick meal over the Christmas period.  The odd thing is I had all the ingredients even pickled walnuts at the back of the cupboard, so at some stage (in the past) I must had intended to do this recipe again.

Out:  chicken breasts for dinner tomorrow; stew packs and beef to make a casserole tomorrow for Thursday night's dinner; smoked mackerel to make soufflé for lunch tomorrow

  • In: pack of M&S Bolognese tortellini (which can be cooked from frozen) as a future emergency meal. Also bought half a side of salmon, which will need portioning and freezing tomorrow.
Out: breaded fish for tonight, veggie burger mix for tomorrow, blueberries, icecream. Will get out 2 of the crusty rolls tomorrow for the veg burgers and will finish up the fries OH got by mistake, maybe the last of the potato wedges as well, to go with them.

In: 6 pks of venison casserole, each should do a meal for two.
Out:-  small piece of pork. I'm going to try to make it go further by stuffing it with apricots, onions, breadcrumbs, I've no frozen chestnuts left from last year but hope no one will notice, instead I'll add some mushrooms that need using up. All wrapped up in puff pastry.
Out:- for lunch, some HM turkey soup and HM coffee and walnut cake batter. Once defrosted it makes 8 muffin sized cakes and the batter takes up very little freezer space.
