My chest freezer has just died! My challenge is - how much can I cook and eat/ get is someone else's freezer before it all defrosts.

Do hope you manage to sort something out @lucyhope with cooking and storing elsewhere. Are you planning on replacing the freezer? If so, at least you would only need to store your stuff elsewhere for a short while. Might be more difficult if you're not planning on replacing it.

In: 0
Out: sausages; some diced pork - making a sort of cassoulet tomorrow for dinner. Depending on how much it makes there may well be some to go back into the freezer as a HM ready meal for another day!

In: 3 x 2 portions lamb shanks
Out: pack of bacon0 -
In: 2 leftover 'shepherd type' pies, made with venison mince not lamb, and topped with veg mash not potatoes. we ate similar pies last night.
Out:- one chicken breast - they're huge so by the time they've been filled with apricot stuffing and wrapped in bacon there will be enough for the two of us.
Out - HM pate and a pk of cake batter for lunch.
Food wise today - aim to collect more blackberries and rosehips0
